Ever had one of those days where you’re so stinkin’ mad that you can hardly form sentences? Well, let me apologize in advance for the possible mistakes in the grammar of this review. To quote Marge Simpson, “I’m really cheesed off!”
And don't forget to check out what happens after Tribal Council at The Ponderosa, the camp for the Jury Members.
Seriously, how many Hidden Immunity Idols are there? Don’t be fooled, like one of the castaways was in this episode. It makes for great television, but someone is going to look a fool. Actually... you know what? I’m OK with that.
The winds, they are a changin'. Literally. There is a storm brewing in the Brazilian Highlands, and I hope it's Coach that gets hit the hardest... cause he is CRAZY. Let's see what happened!
My Dearest Timbira Tribe: How are things? I have a favor to ask. Could you please vote out Coach as soon as you get a chance? That would be awesome. And while you’re at it, could you make it a spectacular blindside? Thanks! Heart, Rachel.
Are we at the beginning of one of the most strategic moves in Survivor History? Are we witnessing something that has NEVER happened on the show before? Have the final four (two from EACH tribe, mind you) already been decided? Man, I hope so (she says while rubbing her hands together)! This is gonna be good!
Imagine, if you will, a mud football game played in two feet of water during a rainstorm. How about knocking over a termite hill and eating anything that tries to scurry away. This episode of Survivor had both, plus a possibly game-changing twist was revealed... If you're sent to Exile Island, you can trade tribes! I only hope someone takes the produces up on their offer. I guess we’ll have to keep watching.
Ah, Survivor... How we have missed thee! What crazy people have you brought us this time? A guy that looks like Lorenzo Lamas? A skinny girl with strep? An old lady who doesn’t know what a "pace" is? Oh my dear, sweet Survivor... Indeed, we have surely missed thee!
CBS today announced the 16 castaways who will compete on SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS — THE BRAZILIAN HIGHLANDS, when the 18th installment of the Emmy Award-winning series premieres Thursday, Feb. 12 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS will prove to be one of the most rugged locations ever visited and the only relief from these harsh conditions will be a river oasis known as the Rio Novo. Left stranded in the majestic interior of Brazil for 39 days, these castaways will battle scorching temperatures, torrential downpours, and dangerous wildlife all in an effort to outwit, outplay, and outlast one another in order to win the title of Sole Survivor.

After 39 days, even I’m suffering from Survivor fatigue. The cure? Season finale, baby (even though it’ll be a 3-hour tour). Come on, people! Lets make sure someone that actually deserves to win, wins!

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave..." Finally, an episode where those who lie, connive, and deceive get their comeuppance (through some lying, conniving deception). And finally, a Top 5 in which I like the majority!
I’ll be honest: This episode made my brain hurt. There was so much paranoia, second-guessing, and backstabbing that I found myself rewinding here and there just to understand what the heck was going on. Add another fake Immunity Idol to the mix and you’ve got yourself an episode that could give Samuel Beckett a run for his money. Look it up.
When someone is a real jerk… I mean, a person that you can’t even stand being in the same room with for five minutes because everything that comes out of his mouth is mean and inappropriate and disrespectful… it is nice to see him make a fool out of himself, right? Then why do I feel and eensy-weensy bit sorry for Randy?

One of the fatal flaws of Survivor is that the people who should win or at least make it far in the game because the paranoid, manipulative, weak people vote them, the strong ones, out. I swear, Final Tribal Council has become more of a vote for the lesser of two evils than the best player. Will the cycle be broken this season? Not likely…
Ever wonder what happens when a castaway gets voted off Survivor and becomes a member of the Jury? Well, wonder no longer! Life at the Ponderosa is a weekly web-only look at what happens after that long walk away from Tribal Council (Did you know they put a cloak over the eliminated player so spies can't see who was voted out?) and the culture-shock a castaway goes through as he/she adjusts to life with food, showers, and beds. Whenever the castaways on Survivor are 100% sure about something, they are 100% wrong. So when both tribes received tree mail about a combined feast on the beach with no mention of the actual word “merge” and everybody started using the word “merge” freely, I knew there would be no such “merge.” I also knew that the alliances set up so deftly before the feast would last no more than twelve hours. I, unlike those wacky castaways, was 100% right.
And did I mention that, as a group, the castaways found a Hidden Immunity Idol and decided to throw it into the ocean? Yep... you read that right.
Going into this episode with a 5 challenge losing streak, Fang needed to pull out all the stops and kick some butt. If not for the Reward or Immunity, for their own sanity. Funny thing is, sometimes when you think you’re at rock bottom, you have even farther to fall.
What would you do for some pastries and coffee? And if you didn’t get it, would you cry? And if you cried and someone made fun of you, would you pop him in the nose? I sure would, but I had to settle for yelling at the TV “Randy, you are a jerk and I hate you!”
In a pretty white-bread episode, we were faced with two big elephants in the room: First, an actual elephant in the room, and second, a castaway who wants to go home. Man, I hate that.
