Kim is dating Sean?!? Are you kidding me?!? And in other news, Turk wants to be Chief of Surgery and Dr. Kelso gets food poisoning from his “muffins for life.” And did I mention that Kim is dating Sean? Good.

Does the shark-jumping happen? Do we finally learn Janitor’s real name? Does the Brady Tiki God continue to curse the doctors of Sacred Heart? Will there be a wedding? No, no, no, yes.

That’s right, kids… a two-parter episode that takes place NOT at Sacred Heart, but in the Bahamas, complete with impromptu wedding and those cursed tiki idols from the Brady Bunch two-parter episode that took place NOT in the Mike-designed 70s wonder house, but in Hawaii. No, there was not a water-ski jump over a shark enclosure. Yet… it did say “Part I” right?

Did JD really make a disco ball out of Turk’s testicle? Will the Janitor instantly fall asleep when somebody says the word “popsicle?” Did Dr. Cox really praise JD? Only one of these completely unrealistic things really happened…

JD and Turk are in charge of Sacred Heart’s Annual Intern Sketch Show roasting the Sr. Staff this year. Yeah, that’s going to turn out well. The show has not been funny for 8 years, and JD and Turk are determined to make it good. As Turk puts it, he is "known as The Black Wayne Brady." Nice.

There is a new intern. Her name is Sunny. She is annoying. Dr. Cox has given the interns the job of taking care of a man who has been in a coma for several years who is in the process of dying. Sunny, of course, takes it upon herself to keep him alive until his sister arrives the next day. Yeah. Good luck with that.

Dr. Cox and Dr. Kelso are friends now, which creeps some people out (myself and Dr. Cox included). Over beers in Kelso’s garden, Bob offers a word of advice (or, perhaps warning) about the job of Chief of Medicine: Perry may think he won’t forget what really matters, but after being stuck in that office all day, he’ll be so overwhelmed by red tape that he’ll want to gouge his eyes out. Perry disagrees. Let’s see how long that lasts.

So JD and Elliot are dating again (as you may have heard), and Dr. Cox has been offered the job of Chief (as you may not have heard) vacated by the every-present (yet retired) Dr. Kelso. I wonder who is going to screw things up first... on to the freak-outs.

Things are all the same-old, same-old at Sacred Heart: Dr. Kelso is retired and continually cashing in on those free muffins for life, JD and Elliot are dating, and Dr. Cox is being an ass to the interns. Oh... and all of JDs daydreams this episode are Sesame Street related. Yeah.

Ah, the politics of Sacred Heart. The new Chief is everywhere (even in some guy’s gut during surgery... ewww...) and she is not letting the docs really help their patients. Rules, rules, rules. The Janitor is dealing with unemployment by hanging out at the coffee shop next to the hospital. And remember that overly brown-nosing intern Katie? Well, she is burning bridges right and left and needs to take a Big Girl pill. Carla?

Written and directed by Zack Braff as an homage to The Princess Bride, last night’s series (maybe) finale of Scrubs finds Dr. Cox telling his son Jack a fairytale bedtime story based on his day at the hospital. Complete with witches and giants and fairies, Perry weaves a magical tale with a happily-ever-after ending… although the real story may not end up so blissful.

So Dr. Cox is the Interim Chief of Medicine. He loves the title but is overwhelmed by the paperwork and bureaucracy. Actually, he is not really overwhelmed; he just refuses to do any of it. He spends the whole episode on the couch in the lounge. That’s my man.

Dr. Kelso is getting drummed out of Sacred Heart because he is past the standard retirement age. His only wish is that he could have ended things on his own terms. As Carla and Elliot try to rally the troops in his defense (if they get enough people to go to the board meeting in support of Kelso, the board might cave), Dr. Kelso reminisces about his career. It’s like a clip show without the clips.
