Ah, the politics of Sacred Heart. The new Chief is everywhere (even in some guy’s gut during surgery... ewww...) and she is not letting the docs really help their patients. Rules, rules, rules. The Janitor is dealing with unemployment by hanging out at the coffee shop next to the hospital. And remember that overly brown-nosing intern Katie? Well, she is burning bridges right and left and needs to take a Big Girl pill. Carla?

  1. Carla?

The Lioness answered the call and took Katie to get some coffee and to scare her straight. When Katie says Carla is “just a nurse,” we know it’s going to be a long talk. She tells her that everyone is on to her. If she keeps going down that road, people will come after her. People will end up hating her. Katie just doesn’t care. Carla tells Katie that the hospital is now her family. Her childish, self-centered attitude in not going to work. If she keeps it up, the hospital will eat her alive.

JD and Elliot are working with an MS patient who wants to get some pain pills for his condition. The problem is, they think he is just another addict scamming them for meds. When they confront him, he confesses the medication was for his daughter who has MS and no insurance. Because they have souls, they decide to continue the charade to help the two. Too bad Dr. Maddox is, like I said in the beginning, EVERYWHERE. She bounces them out. Damn.

Meanwhile, Perry has a mission: Get rid of Dr. Maddox. And who is there to help? That’s right, The Janitor. They break into her office to look for dirt on Maddox. Of course, they find nothing. So what does Perry do? He confronts her and declares that she is making it impossible for them to help the patients. Guess what? She couldn’t care less. Jordan suggests they talk to Dr. Kelso: he has the Board of Directors in his pocket and can get rid of her. Bob is more than willing to help IF Perry admits that he misses him.

So Katie got a heart and started to fit in, JD and Elliot’s MS patient got the meds for his daughter, and Maddox got fired. They found a way to work around the system and relationships evolved. With a little help, anything can change.

What do YOU think? How awesome was it when Dr. Maddox (Courtney Cox) makes fun of Dr. Cox’s name? And when Janitor “got into character” when they broke into Maddox’s office? How about Dr. Cox batting that muffin away? What was your favorite moment? Give us your Two Cents… We’ll but some muffins.
