Amazing Race 15 - Here We Come!

CBS has ordered the 15th edition of the six-time Emmy Award-winning reality series The Amazing Race, hosted by Phil Keoghan.

Keoghan is currently on a 40-day, 3,500 mile bike ride across the United States. Phil Rides Across America will end in New York City on May 9, the day before the season finale of The Amazing Race 14. Casting is already underway for the 15th season. Keoghan will be appearing at open casting calls throughout his bike ride with upcoming stops in Chicago (April 24), Pittsburgh (May 1) and New York (May 8). Applications are also available at CBS.com.

...Phil Keoghan, host/activist

After 14 season of the award-winning The Amazing Race, its host (and native New Zealander) Phil Keoghan has traveled to practically ever corner of the globe, experiencing different cultures, peoples, and (sometimes most frighteningly) cuisines.

This Spring, his focus is on the United States as he crosses this great land of ours on his trusty Specialized Transition. You read that right. He is biking from Los Angeles to New York in just over 40 days to raise awareness for the National MS Society, among other things.

I was lucky enough to catch up with him at one of his pits stops in my very own hometown to talk a little about the trip, the National MS Society, and (naturally) The Amazing Race.

Amazing Race 14 Announces Premiere

February 15th is the day, people: the premiere of the 14th (I know!) installment of the Emmy award-winning Amazing Race at 8:00 ET.

11 teams will "travel one of the most grueling courses ever assembled on the Race – spanning 40,000 miles and nine countries in just 22 days. Teams will be faced with a multitude of extremes, including the world's second tallest bungee jump, bone-chilling Siberian temperatures followed by the suffocating heat of India, and an Olympic-sized challenge that leaves Teams gasping for air. For the first time in the history of the Race, Teams will travel to Romania and Siberia."

"This 14th group of Racers features an eclectic cast that includes a Team of brothers who are stuntmen, a pair of flight attendants, a brother/sister Team who are Harvard lawyers, an accomplished feature film writer/producer/actor and his father, a Team of former NFL cheerleaders and the Race's first ever deaf contestant and his mother."
