Lets say you’re in a race for a million dollars. Would you not make sure you were familiar with all of the rules and regulations of said race? Yeah, me too. But apparently, that is not as common-sense as I thought.

  1. Margie & Luke [Mother/Son]: My horses ran a solid leg in Thailand, getting through one of the grossest Detours on record (fitting dentures, thus then name of the episode). They chose that Detour because the other had to do with Karaoke and, according to Margie, Luke is a horrible singer and they wouldn’t feel right inflicting that on the public at large. Luke was so disgusted by the denture challenge, he couldn’t even fit one right. Margie did all five, single-handedly getting them to Phil at the Pit Stop in Bangkok in 1st place.

Cara & Jaime [Former NFL Cheerleaders]: Making a strategic move (well, a “common sense” move, really), the cheerleaders decided to take their possessions with them on the boat ride during a Road Block. That one decision (shared by Margie & Luke and Tammy & Victor) was perhaps the most important of the leg. Those who did NOT take their backpacks were crippled to learn the boat was not going back to the point of origin. Cara & Jaime got to the mat in 2nd place.

Tammy & Victor [Siblings/Lawyers]: These two also brought their stuff with them – a very good move. They also get the award for best quote of the episode… when deciding what Detour to pick, they went with the Party Taxi Karaoke: “We’re Chinese. We have to do karaoke.” They got to the Pit Stop in 3rd place.

Kisha & Jenn [Sisters]: Talk about a train wreck. Not only did they leave their backpacks in the taxi at the boat dock, but they left their passports and money just sitting on the dock itself, along with Kisha’s shoes. So they finish the leg with no money (a kind taxi driver took them around for free!) and no shoes. Eww. But when they got to the Pit Stop, Phil had some bad news: no money and passports, no check-in. They had to make their way back to the boat docks (where their first driver was still waiting, meter running), find their stuff, and get back to the Pit Stop before they could be checked in. Luckily for them, Mark & Michael are all about breaking rules… the sisters got back to Phil in 4th place.

Mark & Michael [Brothers/Stuntmen]: These yahoos were also stupid enough to leave their belongings at the boat dock. They were also stupid enough to not read the Race Rules which clearly state that you cannot use personal items to cover a bill (no trading headlamps for cab fare). Remember last week when they broke some of the other Race Rules? Well, apparently this Bartertown way of doing things carries a stiffer penalty: 2 hour penalty… and they did it TWICE! So they get to the Pit Stop in 4th but have to wait for FOUR HOURS before Phil can check them in. Needless to say, they were the last team checked in. But wait! It’s a non-elimination leg! Too bad they face a Speed Bump while already behind the other teams by over 3 hours. Man, I hope they get eliminated next time. Enough already!

What do YOU think? Shouldn’t the Stunt Men go home simply because they are jerky? Who will be in the Final Three? Give us your Two Cents… We’ll reluctantly settle the taxi bill.
