So, Siberia... You are cold and desolate. You are full of Soviet-era mass housing and blocky statues. You are also, apparently, a perfect place to run a marathon… in skivvies.

The Top 7 Things I Learned on The Amazing Race 14
ReplyDeleteMargie & Luke [Mother/Son]: Hooray for the mother and son! After starting the leg in the middle of the pack, Margie’s cooler head prevailed and they plodded steadily through Siberia to lad at the mat in front of Phil in 1st place. They also won a trip for two to St. Lucia. Yay!
Tammy & Victor [Siblings/Lawyers]: The siblings are getting kinda sketchy. Well, Victor is. They make these little promises with other teams and then drive away, leaving them at the gas station still trying to get directions. Mean ditchers! At least they didn’t come in first… they got to the mat in 2nd.
Cara & Jaime [Former NFL Cheerleaders]: In an alliance with Margie and Luke, the cheerleaders sailed through the Detour (running a Siberian snow plow) and the Road Block (running a mile in the snow in only underwear) and arrived at the Pit Stop (a dance theatre) in 3rd.
Mel & Mike [Father/Son]: Mike said that he picks the Detour option that seems most fun, so the father/son team got to escort a bride to her wedding. They were so cute as they kept complimenting the bride on how pretty she looked. I really like this team. They got to the Pit Stop 4th.
Mark & Michael [Brothers/Stuntmen]: These two yahoos keep plugging away at their own little hobbit pace. They just do the tasks and mind their own business and make sure they don’t arrive last. This time, the even moved up one from the penultimate place and get to Phil (after walking right past him) in 5th.
Kisha & Jenn [Sisters]: After some trouble with the driving of a manual car around town (I’m with ya, Jenn!), the sisters struggled with keeping up (they couldn’t find the bride’s groom). Then came the underwear marathon Road Block which would have killed me… but not Jenn! “I look good in my underwear!” Indeed. The sisters got to Phil in 6th.
Christie & Jodi [Flight Attendants]: Oh, silly flight attendants, we hardly knew thee! And you started this leg of the race in FIRST PLACE! After getting hit on by drunk locals, not finding the Bride’s church, and running the Road Block in a THONG (“My dad is gonna die!”), Christie and Jodi got to the Pit Stop ion dead last place. But wait! It’s a non-elimination leg! Hooray! They will face a Speed Bump next week which will make it hard for them to compete, but at least they get one more chance.
What do YOU think? Could you run a marathon in your drawers? Is Victor becoming evil? Who do you want to win? Give us your Two Cents… We’ll donate it to the CBS Pixilation Fund, which took a hit this episode.
Next Week: Alright Guys, We're at War! (India)
