This week, Gordon starts by cooking three dishes and makes the remaining chefs choose their favorite. Then, he gives them thirty minutes to recreate the dish, without being told the ingredients. There’s always a catch whenever you taste a dish Gordon makes. Sneaky Ben tries to hide the correct liquor and Andrea looks at what everyone else is doing. It comes down to Danny and Paula and Gordon has a hard time choosing the winner.

This week, Gordon scares the chefs by making them believe he’s kicking everyone out. Surprise, surprise, it’s just time to go check out Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J., where they will work if they win. After being shown the big, empty space of possibilities, they go to dinner with the Borgata chefs. A few minutes in, Robert gets up from the table and leaves. None of the other chefs know it at the time but he’s having a great deal of chest pain and sees the medic. He’s advised to go to the hospital as he might have had a heart attack. Oh, no, Robert!

They have to defend why they should stay in Hell’s Kitchen and after, Gordon makes them both take off their jackets. They think they’re going straight home, do not collect a restaurant and $250,000 but Gordon hands them new jackets. And now, we’ve entered into the individual challenge part of the competition.

This week, the contestants have to prepare dishes and then decide together, which one dish will represent the whole team. Oh, yes, it’s full of conflict and controversy. Andrea’s dish is sent forward for the red team and Carol quickly expresses that if she leaves the piece of crab shell on the plate, Gordon will rip it apart. Andrea doesn’t listen to her and guess what? Gordon rips it apart. In fact, he hates the entire dish. On the blue side, Ben’s dish doesn’t fare much better so Gordon picks Paula and Danny to be the new representatives. Both dishes go over well but he can only pick one.

This week starts out with the always entertaining taste test, where we find out who has been smoking far too much to know their chicken from their beef. Andrea takes an early lead with thinking filet mignon was liver but Robert and Giovanni both really strike out. Robert’s favorite food is apparently black truffles and not only is he unable to identify it, he says he hates the taste! The final round is to name ingredients in minestrone soup, just by tasting it. I love it when they do that!

Another week, another day in Hell’s Kitchen. This week, the first challenge has the contestants creating small dishes from leftovers. Giovanni gets moved to the ladies’ team and the first round starts off well, with both teams winning a point. L.A. and Lacey’s dishes get trashed by Gordon while Robert, Andrea, Ben and Giovanni fare very well. It comes down to a very tough final round between Giovanni and Ben. Giovanni wins the challenge for the red team but Gordon also praises Ben on his dish.

The first challenge consists of each team making his three favorite foods: a cheeseburger, brisket and chicken soup. The women lose thanks to Carol, who insists on putting bleu cheese on the burger.

This week, the contestants must spend $100 and create three Asian fusion dishes to be judged by both Gordon and the editor of epicurious.com. The men start off well, winning the first dish but it all quickly falls apart. J doesn’t even know what one of the dishes is named, calling it, “Beef…” Yeah. Beef. The women win the second and third dishes and win the challenge. Lacey, now on the men’s team, throws a fit and whines nonstop. She even threatens to go home. Quit threatening to leave, Lacey. Just go.

This week, the teams have to cook breakfast for youth football players and cheerleaders. Sounds relatively easy, right? Wrong. Colleen, who admits she used to be a cheerleader, leads cheers with the kids instead of cooking with her team. It’s okay. It’s Colleen. They’re probably better off with her not cooking anyway. On the men’s side, Seth claims he has Gordon’s recipe for scrambled eggs and that it will impress him to use it. All that ends up happening is that Seth is so slow on cooking eggs that the women finish first and win. Seth doesn’t know what he’s talking about? Big surprise.

This week, the chefs get treated to a field trip to a meat processing plant with Sous Chef Scott, after only three hours of sleep. Scott prefaces the trip by asking the contestants if any of them were afraid of heights or had a heart condition and offered them bags to throw up into. Nice way to wake up, right? Well, they signed up for it. The nasty tour of the plant leads into Gordon’s meat challenge, where they have to correctly identify eight different cuts of meat and then where it came from on the cow. Simple? Not for these chefs.

Risotto, scallops, raw meat. Messing up these things are the three fastest and most common ways to get eliminated from Hell’s Kitchen and this new group of chefs prove that they too can mess up those three things just as well, if not worse, than previous contestants. It’s men versus women again in Hell’s Kitchen. The women have decided to name their team The Spice Rack and the men have opted for The Blues Brothers, which is far better, if you ask me. If you’re in it for watching crazy, delusional people that are adamant they can cook even though they absolutely cannot, you will not be disappointed this year.

FOX Re-Ups Ramsey

FOX has sealed a new deal with world-renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay. The arrangement will keep Ramsay at the network for several more years and includes an agreement to produce two more installments of the sizzling series HELL’S KITCHEN, another season of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, a yet-to-be determined special and another series.

Petrozza chooses Jen as his final choice for his team and Christina gets Matt. Miss Attitude or Captain Crazyface. That’s a rough choice.

This week on the first part of the finale, it’s down to the final two and I still say he should throw them both out and start over. Christina and Petrozza share ideas for what they want their restaurant to look like with the Hell’s Kitchen designer. Petrozza doesn’t have many ideas, except that he likes flowers and Christina has ideas, even though she may not remember them at all later. Gordon flies them to New York City to see his restaurant Gordon Ramsay at the London, New York. They meet the executive chef there and must make their signature dish. It’s at this point I hope Petrozza doesn’t put any sort of bird in a pumpkin again although I’d love to see Gordon’s reaction to that at this stage in the game.

This week on Hell’s Kitchen, the remaining three contestants get a visit from their loved ones. While Corey and Petrozza are distracted by this, Christina remains on target and studies the dish Gordon has cooked for them to enjoy. Turns out that was a good idea as the chefs are then told they have to recreate the dish from taste and sight alone. Corey chooses the wrong meat, Petrozza forgets to include a puree and Christina fails to listen to her mother who insisted that cream was the binding agent.

All of the chefs except for Jen make a sandwich and Corey completely runs out of time. For some reason, with only about fifteen of her sandwiches plated, she gets to continue on in the challenge. She rushes around like a crazy person keeping the guests waiting as she prepares and serves at the same time.

This week, the chefs had to pair up with the Real Housewives of Hell, who walk into the kitchen in heels, with extremely low cut shirts and in one case, toting a little dog named Zeus. You have got to be a real idiot to bring a dog with you into Hell’s Kitchen, especially into the kitchen itself. Christina wins and she gets to spend the day with two chefs, who teach her many important techniques. She then uses those techniques to lord her knowledge over everyone, making her both incredibly annoying and incredibly stupid. It’s not a good look, dude.

The first challenge tests the timing and communication skills of both teams. Each team must prepare three dishes but only one person can be in the kitchen at a time. When his or her turn is up, the chef must tell the next chef what needs to be done in fifteen seconds. All signs pointed to blue winning, since there was a lot of talk about having set up everything perfectly for the next person. The red team had a lot of trouble since Matt was on the team and Christina and Corey thing they know everything. Both teams messed up but since blue had two dishes missing a sauce and the scallops were raw, red won.
