This week on the first part of the finale, it’s down to the final two and I still say he should throw them both out and start over. Christina and Petrozza share ideas for what they want their restaurant to look like with the Hell’s Kitchen designer. Petrozza doesn’t have many ideas, except that he likes flowers and Christina has ideas, even though she may not remember them at all later. Gordon flies them to New York City to see his restaurant Gordon Ramsay at the London, New York. They meet the executive chef there and must make their signature dish. It’s at this point I hope Petrozza doesn’t put any sort of bird in a pumpkin again although I’d love to see Gordon’s reaction to that at this stage in the game.

Christina makes a NY Strip Steak and Petrozza chooses a filet mignon with an onion risotto. The judges are the executive chefs from five of Gordon’s restaurants and they each get to taste and then choose their favorite dish. It seems a bit ridiculous to me that the first two would really choose Petrozza’s and the next two would choose Christina’s but that’s reality TV for you. Petrozza wins, thanks to one chef’s love of a good onion risotto. Good on you, Hen in a Pumpkin.

The chefs come back to Hell’s Kitchen and see how their restaurants are looking. Christina is horrified to see striped wallpaper, which is what she chose. I heard it, the designer heard it and the cameras caught it. Her restaurant looks like a prison. Petrozza’s looks like the dining room in Miss Havisham’s house. The walls sport a dusty looking floral print and the entire thing looks like the last place you’d want to go to for fine dining, or dining at all. It’s bad motel in the middle of nowhere all the way. I don’t have much hope for Hen in a Pumpkin at this point.

Then there comes the big, bad decision. Which of the eliminated chefs will the finalists choose to help them in the last and most important challenge? That’s a rough one. I personally do not like Corey at all but she’s probably the best option out there. Petrozza won the opportunity to pick first and he picks Bobby, which is also a good decision. He’s a little crazy but he’s loyal and hard working. Christina snaps Corey up. That leaves arrogant Ben, emotional Louross, timebomb Matt and Jen, who is in a bad mood. I would not choose Matt ever and Ben rubs me the wrong way. Petrozza chooses Ben, Christina picks Louross and it’s left to next week to find out who gets stuck with Matt and Jen. Your move, Petrozza.

Who would you pick to be your sous chefs? It’s a rough choice but I think I’d pick Corey, Bobby and Louross. Of course, that’d be as if there wasn’t another person trying to not get stuck with a few worlds of trouble. At this point, I think Christina is going to win, based on confidence, vision and her lack of flowers everywhere in the dining room. Oh, the stripes are bad but she’s fixing it. I don’t think Petrozza has much of a shot but who would have ever thought he’d make it this far? So, who do you think will win? Leave your TwoCents in the comments!
