Another week, another day in Hell’s Kitchen. This week, the first challenge has the contestants creating small dishes from leftovers. Giovanni gets moved to the ladies’ team and the first round starts off well, with both teams winning a point. L.A. and Lacey’s dishes get trashed by Gordon while Robert, Andrea, Ben and Giovanni fare very well. It comes down to a very tough final round between Giovanni and Ben. 1. Another week, another day in Hell’s Kitchen. This week, the first challenge has the contestants creating small dishes from leftovers. Giovanni gets moved to the ladies’ team and the first round starts off well, with both teams winning a point. The women and Giovanni get to go watch horse racing as a reward. At the horse race, Andrea’s horse wins but it comes down to her and Gordon’s horse and the whole thing seems very staged, yet again. Ugh. Meanwhile, the men and Lacey are stuck prepping for service for both kitchens that night. Lacey threatens to quit again and actually does walk out. In her confessional, she states, “I’m not going to compromise my health and happiness for $250,000.” It’s a reality-competition show, Lacey and you’re not on Survivor, out in the middle of nowhere, in 120 degree heat, starving to death. Suck it up. Lacey also insists she’s not a bitch but is a nice, cool person. Yeah, she’s a nice, cool person who mocks the pep talk Ben gives her. Someone is trying to help you, Lacey. Wake up.

Standouts on the Side of Good:
Giovanni – He pulls the struggling women together. Good for him. He’s come a long way since the man who worked in a steakhouse and was unable to cook steak a few weeks ago.

Paula – She sends out beef wellington so awesome, she gets praise from Gordon.

Standouts on the Side of Bad:
J – He really screwed everyone over by overcooking all of the risotto for both kitchens during prep. He also messes up the fish, scallops, eggs and seemingly everything he touches, all while talking in the third person. He should really do that in front of Gordon. He’d knock it out of J very fast. Gordon ends up yelling at J in the walk in, which I’m now going to call the yelling closet. Gordon eventually kicks J out of Hell’s Kitchen in the permanent, pack your stuff, go home, do not collect $250,000 kind of way.

Carol and Andrea – They both mess up the pasta and try to serve raw noodles. Gordon makes them go sit at a table and eat it. Carol insists it’s fine. Obviously, it’s not, dear and I wouldn’t take that stance. If Gordon says it’s not right, it’s not right.

Ben – He messes up the wellington and Gordon yells at him. A lot. Gordon finally takes him into the yelling closet and well, yells.

Who Wins, Who is Nominated and Who Goes Home:
The men lose and everyone on the team must nominate someone. While discussing it the dorms, Robert tells Lacey, “If you win this, I will hang up my coat and become a crackwhore.” Best line of the series so far. In front of Gordon, he calls Lacey a cancer and brings up her repeated threats of quitting.

Lacey nominates Robert and Danny, Ben and obviously Robert nominate Lacey. Gordon calls Ben and Lacey forward and tells Ben he really wants his jacket. He ends up sending them both back in line since J already got kicked out.

So, what did you think? I really wanted Lacey to get sent home. I agree with Robert. Bottom line, she doesn’t deserve to be there and doesn’t have what it takes to run a restaurant at all. I’m so fed up with her threats of quitting. Just quit already. Do you agree? Tell me your TwoCents in the comments!
