TwoCents and Five Questions With...

...Joss Whedon, Part 2!

Happy Dollhouse Friday! In a second chance to talk with the creator of such icons of pop culture as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, we focused on the characters of Dollhouse… where they have been, where they are going, and how the heck they got involved in The Dollhouse in the first place.

TheTwoCents: Fans have been speculating about the possibility that staff members of The Dollhouse are possibly dolls themselves. Obviously, you can’t tell us yes or no, but is that something you’ve thought about yourself… about if the employees of a place like this would all be purely there?

"1. "Chuck"
In short, this show is clever, all-around fun, with a great cast, stellar writing and lots and lots of heart. And Chuck and Sarah may be the TV couple we most enjoy seeing almost hook up, but not quite. Save that for season five or six."

TwoCents and Five Questions With...

...Eliza Dushku, Actor/Producer

Eliza Dushku is known to many as Faith in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe from the mind of Joss Whedon. Hoping that lightening strikes twice, Eliza and Joss have developed a new show, Dollhouse, in which she can play any role. Literally. As Echo, a member of a highly illegal and underground group of individuals who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas, Eliza will be playing everything from a protector to a lover to, well, lets allow her to talk about it. We had the chance to sit down with her, and this is what she said...

Question: Can you talk about how the show has developed from that first meeting with Joss into what it actually became and what we’re going to see this season?

A new and long awaited television show! I think that a lot of fans of the previous Joss Whedon programs have been anxiously awaiting Dollhouse. I know I have. I wanted to watch the first episode at least twice before writing my review. After all, it is a new show and my review should give you a decent idea of what the show is about! And of course I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss anything important.

TwoCents and Five Questions With...

...Joss Whedon, Creator

Many hearts (mine included) skip a beat at the mere mention of the name “Joss Whedon.” An Emmy and Academy Award nominee, Whedon is one of Hollywood’s top talents, scripting several hit films and creating one of television’s most critically praised shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After the cult success of Buffy, other mediums of entertainment were Whedonized. He is an accomplished composer, the creator behind several Dark Horse Comics graphic novels, and even the mastermind of the Internet sensation Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. It seems everything he touches turns to geeky-fan gold. TheTwoCents had a chance to sit down with Mr. Whedon to chat about his next adventure: Dollhouse.

Question: Can you tell us a little bit about the genesis of Dollhouse? What got you thinking about these characters in this world?
