Adelle’s friend Margaret has died under mysterious circumstances. Apparently she has for seen her faith and spend multiple hours over the past 18 months with Adelle at the dollhouse in order to download her memories. On a sunny afternoon Margaret goes out to ride her pride a price winning horse, but her horse finds it’s way back to the mansion without the rider.
Adelle uses Echo to revive Margaret, she knows that it is only temporarily but as it seems this has been something which was planned a long time ago. Echo and Adelle share a meal and ‘Maragaret’ tells her friend that she wants to go to her funeral. Adelle warns her that she might not like what she will see and hear. Though Margaret is indisputable and knows what she wants.
Topher tells Boyd, who is the new head of security, that he needs a doll for some diagnostic tests but in reality he likes to create his own dream girl every once in a while. Which is basically him in a female form. Boyd gives him Sierra, since all the missions for the dolls except for Echo are put on hold after what happened with Dominic it doesn’t really matter that he uses an active. Guess it would have been quite funny if Boyd had given him Victor though. Topher uses Sierra to play games, just someone who shares his interests with him.
Boyd finds out and asks Adelle if she is aware of this. She tells him to not address the issue with Topher since he only does one of his ‘diagnostic tests’ once a year, around his birthday. Probably a time in which he feels lonely, after all it seems as if Topher lives inside the dollhouse as well. It really wouldn’t surprise me if he turns out to be a doll too. And besides that, who is she to judge Topher when she uses Victor for her rendezvous after all.
Paul Ballard on his turn is struggling with the information which he received through Mellie about the dollhouse. Hunting down an idea or the possibility of a dollhouse is one thing, finding out that it actually exists and that your girlfriend is a doll is a whole other ballgame especially if she has no idea what has been going on. He is still seeing Mellie to keep up appearances after all if they know that he knows they will kill him. Of course Mellie notices that something is off but she has no idea what it is and she tries to ignore it.
Paul needs to know who Mellie really is, he obviously knows that she is in the dollhouse but he also knows that it means that she is most likely a missing person even if she doesn’t know it herself. He asks his colleague at the FBI to do a search on her fingerprints. She complies even though she doesn’t want to at first. Multiple aliases show up when she starts searching, apparently all with a record. Then the screen blanks out and it says that no search results have been found. At that moment his former colleague starts to believe his ideas on the dollhouse. Which can make things easier for Paul, at least he is not alone in his believes anymore.
Mellie tells Paul that she loves him, even with the way that he has behaving lately. She might even possibly be thinking about a future with him. He needs to keep up the appearances of a normal relationship. Something which will prove to be very difficult, especially with Mellie being in love with him and not knowing that she is a doll. That could become a very interesting storyline, which I really hope they will get to explore in season 2.
So you see everyone makes use of the dolls in the dollhouse and they definably don’t worry about the people hidden behind the blanc slates. After all what you don’t remember can’t hurt you, right.
What I missed in this episodes where the little hints of ‘recognition’ or ‘memories’ by the dolls. There was nothing, not one hint. Does that mean that the dolls’ memories have been erased properly this time?
As I am writing this there still is no pick up for the second season. And well the end of this season is getting closer and closer with each minute that passes especially since Fox declared that episode 13/14 won’t air on television but will only be on the Season 1 dvd boxset we only have two episodes left. Will that last episode be needed to wrap up some of the storylines and will they only release it on dvd so that the fans will have to buy the dvd to see it. Or is there a different reasoning behind it. I am not sure, what do you think?
Do you think there will be a second season? Should there be a seconds season?
