  1. Urban legends always trigger rumors and the longer they go on the weirder the stories become. Finally we get to see Agent Ballard and Echo face to face. I guess that we have all been waiting for this moment. Though it was not quite what I expected it to be like but then again she doesn’t know who she is so what should was she expect to be saying. Most of the scene Paul Ballard was fighting with the security men while Echo as Rebecca Mynor was screaming ‘porn’ at least once every sentence. With a shocked look on her face she wondered if her husbands internet business which suddenly paid out had something to do with porn.

In the midst of the struggle Echo is pulled out by Boyd and taken back to the ‘Dollhouse’ to receive her treatment. All Paul Ballard can do is talk to ‘Joel’ the loving husband to see what he can tell him about the Dollhouse.

Meanwhile at the Dollhouse they are dealing with Victor who is as it seems abusing Sierra even though they are not programmed to know what sex is. Sierra gets hysteric when Victor walks up to her. Victor and his handler are taken from the floor while Boyd sets up a trap when he figures out who the actual abuser is.

One of the handlers is abusing Sierra, he tells her that it is a game and since she has no willpower and no memories of her own she goes along in whatever he tells her to do. He literally says that it doesn’t matter since they are in the business of abusing the actives anyway.

Adelle tells him that she has an offer for him, if he takes it he won’t have to go to the attic. She knows however that he will most likely die during the mission. Which is exactly what she needs him for, he will be used to send a message to Paul Ballard.

Adelle wants Echo to come face to face with Paul Ballard once again. While Topher is making the imprint he is called away and when he gets back he gives Echo her treatment. She is on a mission to find Paul and a fight ensues but when she gets her chance she tells him that the dollhouse is real. That someone at the dollhouse imprinted her with a message for him and that they will try to contact him again in the future possibly using the same body if they can. Paul asks her if this person was also the one who sent him the picture and the video. Echo denies it, she then tells him to run after she shoots an officer who responded to the fight. Paul Ballard is suspended pending investigation since he used excessive force on the guards in Joel Mynors house.

What an episode, Joss Whedon kept his promise he said that episode six would be the turning point. He said that the first five episodes where heavily influenced by Fox. And after seeing this episode I think that we really got a glimpse of how good this show can be. This was the best episode so far. It was exiting, great acting, it had a great storyline and it was very revealing. Apparently they can also imprint someone with a ‘trigger’, which opens a set of skills they normally don’t possess when they hear a certain combination of words and burry it again when they hear a different combination of words.

Thinking about the idea behind the Dollhouse it creeps me out. Just the idea that someone takes your thought, memories, your everything and gives you back a blank slate so that you can do whatever they want you to do. It is a very creepy idea and I really hope that they never really find the key to this technology, nevertheless it is a good idea for an television show in my opinion.

I am really looking forward to the next episode and the one after that. This is a show with potential and I really hope that there will be more in store for us when this season is done.

I gave you my two cents on the episode, will you give me yours?
