Samantha Who? - Out of Africa - Begs the Question...

ABC's episode of Samantha Who? called "Out of Africa" focused on Sam's desire to go to Africa to help the less fortunate.

When she doesn't make it there she pretends to be away - but really goes on a get away with her girlfriends.

So, that begs the question - have you ever pulled off a big 'white lie' that people totally bought in to?

Samantha Who? - So I Think I Can Dance - Begs the Question...

This week we were treated to the Samantha Who? premiere. In it Samantha has moved out to her own apartment (where Barry still lives while looking for a place).

So, Samantha got her own spatula and danced around (mostly) naked in her own place.

That begs the question - when you got your own place - how did you make it your own? Did you buy something special that proved the point? Did you dance around (mostly) naked? What did you do?

The show opens with Todd and Sam making out in Todd’s (really Sam’s) apartment. Things are hot and heavy but both are paranoid about Crazy Chloe walking in on them. There’s the noise of a key in the lock and Sam scrambles to hide. It’s just Frank the doorman though, bringing up a package. He let himself in because he though Todd wasn’t at home. As Todd babbles we see Sam hiding inside the couch. So funny.

Todd sends Sam an invitation to his gallery show but she can’t decide whether or not to go because she doesn’t want Todd to know she still has feelings for him. She tells Todd she’s bringing a date, a man named Rance who is actually a figment of Sam’s imagination. She brings a total stranger (Jerry O’Connell) named Craig, who once stole Sam’s purse.

Let me just say, I may not have enjoyed this episode to it’s fullest potential because I had to watch it online this week and my internet connection is craptastic so the video kept stopping every third word. It took me an hour to watch 21 minutes of streaming video.

Sam’s boss, Mr. Funk (with whom I am in love) proposes to her because they had a relationship before Sam’s accident, but Sam has to say no to him because a) she doesn’t remember him and b) Andrea likes him. Andrea finds out about the relationship and breaks off her friendship with Sam. The bad thing is, Sam still wants Todd, but Winston Funk is a total hottie and she starts to like him in spite of herself.

Hey kids! It’s time for everyone’s favorite blond amnesiac! Woo, “Samantha Who?” is back, baby!

Remember from last season, Todd was living in Sam’s apartment and Sam realized she wants Todd back, but he has a new girlfriend. This episode, Todd asks Sam to let Chloe (his new girlfriend) move in with him, but Sam is about to get evicted for subletting the apartment since it’s against the building rules.

It’s a new season and a new feel for TheTwoCents so I’m going to try something new here. Let’s do a contrast/compare with Old Sam and New Sam.
