Holy Autobots Batman!

So, I just got a call from Optimus Prime!

It was indeed very cool to hear that voice from my childhood saying my name and warning me against my friends!

You can do it too. If you click HERE you can send a message, via email or phone, to your friends from Optimus!

Fun times!

TIME Lists Best TV of All Time

Yup, 100 shows. Each entry complete with video clip!

Are all your favorites here? Probably not.

My favorites? Well... The Office (both versions) and Friends both made it, but sadly, Sports Night did not.

What about yours? What is missing from the list?

EW Fall Preview Photo Gallery

What's Your Six Degrees?

Ok, so everyone loves that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game.

You know... someone says a celebrity and you have to connect them to Kevin Bacon somehow.

Someone in the TwoCents Office just suggested Kermit the Frog. So, let me think.

Kermit was in The Muppet Movie with Frank Oz, Frank Oz was in Spies Like Us with Dan Akroyd, Akroyd was in Nothing But Trouble with Demi Moore who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon!

Now, I'm going to check this cool site, http://oracleofbacon.org/oracle/ and see what the fine people at The University of Virgina say... HAH! I stumped them. They don't credit Kermit enough. But if I use Jim Henson (voice of Kermit), the computer beats me with a Bacon Number of 2! Jim Henson (I) was in Muppet Movie, The (1979) with Steve Martin (I), Steve Martin (I) was in Novocaine (2001) with Kevin Bacon.

A side note - I have a Bacon Number of 2 also. I was in a Community Theater play with someone who was in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon!

Do you have a Bacon number?

Why Do Today What You Can Put Off Till Tomorrow?

Entertainment Weekly has a list of their favorite on-screen slackers.

You'll find the usual, Ferris Bueller, Spicoli, Homer Simpson etc. but a nice little addition? Our boy Creed! It's more proof that EVERYONE loves Creed!

CREED (CREED BRATTON)
The Office

Dunder Mifflin's bizarre Quality Assurance rep's talents include eating at his desk, identifying strains of cannabis, and stealing things. They do not include assuring quality — in season 3, his negligence led to an obscene watermark scandal. He also has a blog (slacker sirens just went off!) called Creed Thoughts that NBC keeps updated regularly, even though on Creed's computer, it was just a Word doc with a Web address at the top. — Annie Barrett

Wired Helps You Be Somewhere Else!

Ever want to be home and make it look like you're at work?

Easy!

Wired has a wikipedia element to its website and this new entry gives you all the time you need.

Tips such as:

"1. You probably are answering emails from your blackberry or treo, right? Well, make sure to remove the "sent by Goodlink" copy from the bottom of your message. One step better is added an automated signature at the bottom which most people do have set up on their outlook when they are at their main computer but don't know to do it from their wireless device."

Good New Things Make Good Old Things Go Away

If you still haven't gone on that fancy "Back to the Future" ride at Universal Studios you better hurry up!

The Simpsons are coming to town and pushing Marty and Doc into the past for good!

After thrilling over 61 million visitors with wild rides across "the space-time continuum," the ground-breaking "Back to the Future – The Ride" attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood will soar into the future for the very last time on Labor Day, September 3, 2007. Fans of the attraction will also have an opportunity to take the last ride and drive off as the owner of one of the stainless steel 1981 DeLoreans that served as inspiration for Doc Brown's flux capacitor-equipped time machines.

"Back to the Future – The Ride" blends breakthrough simulator technology with a cutting-edge Omni-max 70mm film to create a total sensory experience. A signature attraction at "The Entertainment Capital of L.A." for over 14 years, the ride is being closed to make way for the introduction of a new thrill ride based on the enormously popular "The Simpsons" TV series and movie. The Simpsons ride is slated to debut in Spring 2008.

"Back to the Future – The Ride" was introduced in 1993 as a continuation of the Oscar®-winning blockbuster "Back to the Future" film trilogy directed by Robert Zemeckis and executive produced by Steven Spielberg for Universal Pictures. The attraction features an eight-seat convertible DeLorean Time Travel Vehicle that elevates the theme park ride experience to an unprecedented level of detail, beginning with an artfully staged queue line experience that helps set up the ride's narrative storyline.

EW Hates Stuff Too!!

Entertainment Weekly has a GREAT list of 25 things that annoy them!

I agree with so many of them! Here are a few:

3. When TV shows (we're looking at you, Lost) end at 10:02 p.m., 11:03 p.m., etc. Our DVRs don't know to wait up.

8. ''Upsizing'' sales tactics at the concession stand. If we wanted the jumbo deal, we would have asked for it.

16. The word 'pitchy'.

21. People outrunning fireballs. (photo)

Wendy, The Burger King and Ronald McDonald Know How Old You Are!

That's right!

Here's a little test to prove it!

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat. (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757...If you haven't, add 1756.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

- You should have a three digit number.

They Were NEVER Just For Kids...

Ok, I've mentioned Legos before here on TheTwoCents but I need to mention them again.

As my niece and I sit at the kitchen table from time to time and follow the picture directions to make a nice little firetruck, I feel shamed when I found this article on CNN.

It's about Nathan Sawaya who is a Lego artist and some of his creations are outright amazing to look at!

Check out the article and the photos included. I've posted some below.

Low Milage...Doesn't Really Fly!

Remember that awesome flying car in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"??

Well, you missed your chance to own it!!!

According to a Yahoo story, "The red-and-yellow winged roadster that starred in the film "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" sold at auction for $505,000 to a Florida collector."

By the way, this collector already owns a 1966 Batmobile!

Nice life!

Coach Goes Crazy

WOW!

This guy can't be too far away from the talk show circuit after his insane attack on the umpires in the minor league game he was managing.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing this guy didn't like the call. How about you?

Phillip Wellman, the minor league manager of the Mississippi Braves, throws a major league tantrum after being ejected.

Aww Looks Kids it's Hogwaaaaaaaaaaaarrrtttssssss!!!

What's missing from the merchandising mania of Harry Potter?

AN AMUSEMENT PARK!

J.K. Rowling has given the go-ahead for a theme park based on the school aged wizard and his world. Only for this, his world will be in Florida.

According to a Reuter's article: "The park is a joint venture between Warner Bros Entertainment, whose Potter films have so far grossed more than $3.5 billion worldwide, and Universal Orlando Resort.

In a statement rich in entertainment hyperbole, the builders of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" said they planned to "create the world's first immersive Harry Potter themed environment."
