Saying Goodbye to ER

All I need to know in life, I learned from ER.

Robert Romano taught me to beware of Helicopter Revenge. Once you piss one off, it will be out to get you forever.

Kerri Weaver taught me that lesbian adoptions are not simple, especially when you loose your life-partner to a fire and then have to fight her family for the right to keep the baby.

Abby Lockhart taught me that it's possible to go from being a nurse to a doctor, all while having a drinking problem.

ER, thank you for the lessons and the memories; you'll be dearly missed.

Abby Lockhart taught me that it's possible to go from being a nurse to a doctor, all while having a drinking problem.

Luka Kovach taught me that it's ok to bash a guy's head in for being rude to your date.
Nurse Adams taught me that you CAN loose 100 pounds in a single summer, but only one person will make a comment on it.

Mark Greene taught me that the best way to live your last months is on a beach in Hawaii ... without your wife around to bug you. But maybe you should leave your pain pill stealing teenager behind too.

Susan Lewis taught me that you can go home again; you just can't stay long. And that you never give your crazy sister your work number. Or your home number. Or at least not your house key.

Carol Hathaway taught me that committing suicide on the first day doesn't mean you won't become a wonderful employee.

Doug Ross taught me that it is possible to detox a drug addicted infant in one day; however CPS will be hunting you down for the rest of your life and you'll wind up hiding in Seattle while you hope that your ex-girlfriend shows up with your twin daughters.

Jeanie Boulet taught me that you can have AIDS and be a healthcare worker, you can even forgive your cheating husband and adopt a child with him afterward.

Jing-Mei Chen taught me that you can get pregnant, tell no one who the father is, never tell your family & put the baby up for adoption; all while attempting to never actually say "I'm pregnant" to anyone. Ever.

Sam Taggart taught me that it's ok to shoot and kill your jail-breaking-kidnapping-raping-exhusband, so long as there is a rich sugar daddy around to sweep it under the rug.

And John Carter taught me that no matter how many times you are beaten up, verbally abused, stabbed, go through rehab for pain killer addiction, help family members through rehab, loose family members, turn down family money, loose your infant, land a crazy girlfriend or have your life threatened in Africa; you can still remember where you came from and appreciate the people who helped you along the way.

ER, thank you for the lessons and the memories; you'll be dearly missed.
