  1. There was a hot girl in the comic shop this week – and it was Penny! Our previously superficial heroine ends up showing how far her penchant for geeky boys has progressed when she makes a date with the owner of the store. Or maybe it’s just because it was the boys’ self-proclaimed “Anything-Can-Happen Thursday”.

On this particular Anything-Can-Happen Thursday (the third Thursday of every month to be precise), Sheldon is upset because their routine has been upset by Thai food instead of pizza. Then to really bust things up, the gang decides that as four young single guys, they should be out clubbing and meeting women! YEAH! ... Or they could just go buy more comics.

Penny tags along because it was too difficult for Sheldon to narrow down a comic book, or even a Spiderman series, to pick up for her nephew. While Howard and Sheldon argue over the only copy of a Robin comic that they need for their respective collections, Penny is wooed by artist-slash-comic-book-guy Stuart. I don't know if I'd personally go for someone who randomly sketched my face while in a store, but to each their own. And though Leonard doesn't say so, it is clear he is, in fact, not enjoying Anything-Can-Happen Thursday.

When date night arrives, the boys run into Penny and Stuart on their way out to an art opening showing Stuart's work. Leonard abruptly decides that he, Howard, and Raj should abandon their plans to play vintage video games to go to a bar instead. Howard gets continuously rejected and blames Wingman Leonard for weighing him down, as the problem certainly is not his magic tricks. Leonard doesn't even try to meet girls after wanting to so badly. And, as usual, a Brandy-Alexander-filled Raj gets lucky.

Meanwhile, back at the apartment, Penny invites Stuart in for “coffee”, which he accepts even though he thinks it means coffee. As long as it's decaf. Both meanings of coffee are thwarted, however, when Sheldon engages Stuart in a debate about who the best Robin is to replace Batman. So once again, Raj reigns as geek supreme, and the only one not waking up alone.

What did you all think of this one and all its comic book glory? Leave your Two Cents in the comments!

    Best Lines:

Howard: I'm a horny engineer, Leonard. I never joke about math or sex.

Raj: You heard that ladies night' ladies! We're eventually coming for you!

Leonard: Hey Stuart, this is Penny, she's just looking for some comic books.
Stuart: Oh, really? Wow. Blink twice if you're here against your will.

Sheldon: Would you like some advice?
    Leonard: Sure, why not?
Sheldon: Then this is the perfect time to launch a blog with an interactive comments section.

Sheldon: Removing Joe Chill as the killer of Batman's parents effectively deprived him of his raison d'etre!
Stuart: You can throw all the French around you want, it doesn't make you right.
    Sheldon: Au contraire.
