Okay, so first up, in the real world, I have to comment on the bizarre videos that have popped up on the internet with Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton both mostly saying the CW doesn’t want them back next year. What’s the most strange to me is that this whole season seemed to have been gearing toward the big old this is the last season but it seems like the CW picked it up for another season. Where will they take the show in season seven? Will Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton be in it? Will anyone? I don’t have answers for those questions today but I’ll keep you updated. For now, I do have the details as to what went down in this week’s episode.

Okay, so first up, in the real world, I have to comment on the bizarre videos that have popped up on the internet with Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton both mostly saying the CW doesn’t want them back next year. It’s getting to the point where I’m going to need to start doing a top ten most ridiculous things list. How insane was this episode? It starts out with Dan walking into the hospital, all Sims-ed out. Yes, One Tree Hill has gone to the Sims, Sims 3, to be exact. So, he’s waiting for his heart transplant and a stoner’s dog trips the guy carrying the box with his heart and THE DOG EATS IT. It’s so ridiculous that it was the clip of the week on The Soup. How I’m expected to take the episode seriously after that, I don’t know. Whoever wrote that needs to get fired. Honestly.

Meanwhile, Brooke comes down hard on Sam, calling her unfixable when she gets caught for shoplifting. Jack actually did the shoplifting but Sam took the blame and the heat from the store and Brooke. Julian’s dad gets fired and Reese (James Van Der Beek) declares the movie dead. Oh, the movie’s dead, which I’m rather bummed about since it seemed like the only interesting thing happening these days. Julian expresses his love for Brooke once more and says goodbye.

Other things you should know: Deb broke up with Skills, saying he deserves more than she can give him and he tries to express an emotion about it but can’t. Dan goes off to die, but not before pitching his beeper into the ocean, screaming about how he’s not going to pray and telling God to come get him. He gets one last visit with Deb, who tells him he’s evil and Jamie, who asks him who killed Keith. Dan tells Deb he shouldn’t have blamed Keith’s death on her and that she shouldn’t feel guilty. He tells Jamie, “I did,” and Jamie wants to go home. Yes, Jamie, there is another side to Grandpa Dan. Before disappearing completely, he finds Nathan and Lucas at River Court and tells them they’re good men and brothers. You know what? That still doesn’t bring back Keith.

Haley is told by Principal Crazy Bitch that she has to print an apology in the paper for running Sam’s story and apologize to her class, which she tries to do but can’t. She tells them to tell the truth and to always stand up for what you believe in. Jamie plays a lot of Sims 3, One Tree Hill style, of course and it’s a kinder, gentler One Tree Hill. Quentin and Keith are still alive and everyone’s happy and together. I’d love to watch this One Tree Hill as it’d be nice to see Keith knock some sense back into this show.

Okay, the best part of this episode, which nearly makes it redeemable (but not quite) is actually James Van Der Beek. He’s celebrating because he got paid for the movie, even though he didn’t do any shooting. Lucas and Julian are moping on River Court and Reese shows up, delivering a pretty good pep talk. He tells them “beauty is in the intent” and that he ran a bit of film through so that Lucas and Julian get their $300,000 production bonuses. He leaves with the blonde who wasn’t cast as Peyton, in a helicopter he billed to the movie.

So what did you think? Unbelievable with that heart, right? It wasn’t even funny because someone else could have, should have gotten that heart. Besides, how many people at the top of the heart transplant list can actually walk into the hospital? It’s ridiculous and I’m so done with that major hole of a plot. I have no idea what they’re going to do with this show next year. It doesn’t need another season, it really doesn’t. They should have kept the movie going and ended it with the premiere or something. That’s a good way to go full circle. Peyton has her baby and is fine, Brooke is finally happy or something like it, Dan dies because he’s Dan and Nathan and Haley move off to that nice house we saw last week.
