Week Three on Dancing with the Stars was all about the Samba and the Foxtrot. The pack is starting to separate and some are rising above and beyond expectations, and some are barely meeting them. Who’s the cream of the crop, and who’s that annoying gunk in that box of leftovers that been in the fridge too long? Let’s find out.

    Star: Denise Richards (actress)
    Partner: Maksim Chmerkovskiy
    Dancing: the Samba
    Len: 6
    Bruno: 5
    Carrie Ann: 5
My rating: 6. The song choice was a little slow for this dance and that prevented it from taking off and exploding, as a samba should. She looked really tense and stiff; she needs to loosen up.

    Star: Chuck Wicks (country star)
    Partner: Julianne Hough
    Dancing: the Foxtrot
    Len: 7
    Bruno: 8
    Carrie Ann: 8
My rating: 8. The adorable was strong in these two, and they did a beautiful dance. Their foxtrot was really great.

Star: Holly Madison (professional Girl Next Door)
    Partner: Dmitri Chaplan
    Dancing: the Samba
    Len: 6
    Bruno: 6
    Carrie Ann: 5
My rating: 6. Wow, talk about a lack of coverage with the little outfit. She’s not very fluid at all, and she needs to work on moving better. I also saw her watching the floor at some point.

    Star: Steve-O (professional Jackass)
    Partner: Lacey Schwimmer
    Dancing: the Foxtrot
    Len: 5
    Bruno: 5
    Carrie Ann: 5
My rating: 7. He soldiered through some major back pain, and you could see it on his face half the time. Props for getting through it, though there were a couple of mess-ups.

    Star: Lawrence Taylor (football player)
    Partner: Edyta Sliwinska
    Dancing: the Samba
    Len: 6
    Bruno: 7
    Carrie Ann: 7
My rating: 7. A great improvement over his past performances, and he’s very light on his feet.

Star: Shawn Johnson (Olympic gold medalist)
    Partner: Mark Ballas
    Dancing: the Foxtrot
    Len: 9
    Bruno: 9
    Carrie Ann: 9
My rating: 9. It was absolutely beautiful, and Shawn was wonderful. It was my favorite dance of the first half, be far. She’s so graceful. It’s wonderful to watch.

    Star: Gilles Marini (actor)
    Partner: Cheryl Burke
    Dancing: the Samba
    Len: 9
    Bruno: 9
    Carrie Ann: 9
My rating: 9. Gilles continues to impress and be fabulous while doing so. He definitely has the moves; that’s why he’s the leader of the pack.

    Star: David Alan Grier (comedian)
    Partner: Kym Johnson
    Dancing: the Foxtrot
    Len: 8
    Bruno: 8
    Carrie Ann: 8
My rating: 8. He is mesmerizing as he dances, and he has some impressive moves thrown in there, like some higher kicks than I can do.

Star: Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple)
    Partner: Karina Smirnoff
    Dancing: the Samba
    Len: 3
    Bruno: 3
    Carrie Ann: 4
My rating: 6. He’s adorable and entertaining. Maybe he’s not the greatest dancer in the world, but I love him and he gets props for dancing injured.

    Star: Melissa Rycroft (Bachelor reject)
    Partner: Tony Dovolani
    Dancing: the Foxtrot
    Len: 9
    Bruno: 9
    Carrie Ann: 9
My rating: 9. She’s still beautiful. Even my roommate, who hasn’t been watching, commented that she’s a really good dancer.

    Star: Lil Kim (rapper)
    Partner: Derek Hough
    Dancing: the Samba
    Len: 8
    Bruno: 9
    Carrie Ann: 8
My rating: 8. There were a couple of problems, but it was hot and she went for it. It was raw and entertaining.

Star: Ty Murray (cowboy and Rodeo champion)
    Partner: Chelsie Hightower
    Dancing: the Foxtrot
    Len: 8
    Bruno: 7
    Carrie Ann: 8
My rating: 8. He has definitely come a long way from a couple weeks ago. He was wonderful, and could end up being a contender in this competition.

    Some of my favorite quotes:
You’re like a match: hot on the top, wooden on the bottom. – Len, on Holly
Finally, a metaphor of yours that I understand. – Tom
    -
We love you, Steve-O! – audience member after Steve-O’s performance.
    -
You inspired a whole nation of booty shakers, you know that, right? – Samantha, to Lil Kim

So, there are the results and judges’ scores. Did you agree with all of them? Who’s your favorite, and who needs to get the boot already? Share your TwoCents with us.

  2. I'm voting to chuck off Denise & Holly ... but I haven't even watched the show lately ;) I just don't like them in general! LOL

  3. Hey, whatever rocks your boat. No one ever said you had to actually consider the dancing in the first place. I mean, I'm rooting for Steve Wozniak, even though he's a terrible dancer. I'm half afraid my iPod will die if I don't. XD

  4. "I'm half afraid my iPod will die if I don't."

That would be a good vote strategy! LOL "Vote for me or your IPod gets it!" Macs everywhere will go into sleep mode until you vote for Steve.

I wonder if you can download videos of his performance on the IPhone yet?

  5. That's probably exactly what they're doing. "Don't make us kick you out of the Genius Bar!" ahaha

According to the news, Apple fans are coming out in droves to support him. I'm not inherently an Apple fan (I just have an iPod), but I'm a geek, so I've got a soft spot for a fellow nerd.

Not yet. I heard tell of an iPod application to vote for him, but there's nothing so far. I'm sure it's in the works.
