  1. This episode could have been called Goodbye Neela. It was, afterall, her final episode and features a nice (but “phoned-in” cameo by Maura Tierney as Abby Lockhart).

Neela does her usual brilliant surgical consults while Frank spends the day loading up the break room with what some might consider Indian racial stereotypes for her going-away party. Everybody loves Neela and Neela loves everybody (well almost every male in the E.R. anyway over her run on the show.
Neela hangs her badge on the wall of the fallen and finally makes it out of the hospital and to the airport, where her flight is delayed and she ends up sitting in the airport bar when Dr. Brenner finds her in his Ross-chases-Rachael to the Airport miscalculation. These two were never meant to be.

When Neela finally does catch her flight, I realize that I have no idea where she’s going or what job she accepted. I remember her interviewing in Chicago with
Dr. Corday (Alex Kingston) but she didn’t accept the job and it was kind of left up in the air. Then as she enters her new hospital I realize that she’s taken a job at Ray’s (Shane West) hospital. That’s great.

In the rest of the episode:

    A son-in-law harbors a terrible secret.

Archie wants his girlfriend to quit being a cop but ends up eating crow (pie) and wearing donkey ears.

    Only 2 episodes left.
