ReplyDeletePatient of the week is Natalie, a sixteen year old private school girl who’s feeling a lot of pressure because she’s fat. At the school’s choir show, a couple of mean girls pressure Natalie into singing the wrong words to a carol, and then gets dizzy and pukes all over the stage. The mean girls are bullied into confessing that they gave Natalie hallucinogenic mushrooms. After all the treatments, Natalie’s heart and kidneys begin to fail. There’s talk of leukemia, but what Natalie actually has is eclampsia. She’s pregnant, or was three weeks ago. She went into premature labor 3 weeks ago at the soup kitchen where she was volunteering and the baby died, or so she thought. Cuddy tells Natalie she’s going to die and then goes to look for the baby Natalie left in an alley. She finds the couple who found the baby. Cuddy pleads with the woman to let the baby be treated at a hospital. Cuddy brings Natalie her baby. Natalie only has a few more days to live since the damage to her organs knocks her off the transplant list. The baby’s grandparents are going to put the baby up for adoption, but guess who’s already spoken to her lawyer. That’s right; Cuddy’s going to try to adopt the baby. I hope she does.
Janice, the advance symptom Huntington’s patient has dropped out of the clinical trials because she didn’t like Foreman’s attitude. Hadley convinces Foreman to try and get Janice back. He does and Hadley is so happy she shares a moment with Foreman, and by moment, I mean they make out.
House does clinic duty to prove to Wilson he can be nice. One patient says she has a bad headache and House tells her they’ll ease up in her third trimester. Yep, he took one look at her and figured out she was pregnant. She swears she’s a virgin and even comes back in with her fiancé, but House maintains that she’s cheated on him. In order to fulfill his niceness quotient he lies about test results and tells the couple they’re going to be parents to a baby conceived via an immaculate conception. Yep, a virgin birth, folks. Turns out, the girl did cheat on her fiancé, but House just saved their relationship. Because he’s totally nice, y’all.
There were some parts in this episode that were kind of unbelievable and totally impossible, but all in all, it left me with a good feeling. I sure hope Cuddy gets to adopt that baby. I don’t think I can take anymore of that storyline if she doesn’t. What’d you guys think? Leave a comment!
