It's not Tree Hill unless there's trouble in an all too temporary paradise. This week, the movie producer, Julian, does a good job at screwing up Lucas and Peyton’s relationship just by being in town. Julian tells Lucas the screenplay is good, except it needs Keith's death scene. Lucas struggles to come up with a way to write it while Peyton, through many flashbacks, wrestles with how to tell Lucas she dated Julian. Turns out that when she went to see Lucas at his book signing and found him with Lindsay, she ran into Julian. The rest is classic Peyton. It's good until it's not.

It's not Tree Hill unless there's trouble in an all too temporary paradise. Julian left her because she read Lucas's book an alarming number of times. That’s interesting, especially since a lot of it is about her. Lucas meets with Dan at River Court, who tells him to portray him as a monster. Peyton decides to tell Lucas but it's too late, as he's already seen a photo of her and Julian together.

Meanwhile, Owen tries oh so very hard to win Brooke back by sending her a gift every day. He eventually decides to give up and she tells him she can't be with someone right now but gives him hope for the future. I've changed my mind on Owen. He's a pretty solid guy. They'll probably get together in a few weeks.

Sam teaches Jamie about economics by showing him how to buy a bunch of snacks from the vending machine, then sticking gum in the coin slot and marking up the merchandise for the hungry high schoolers. Jamie takes this lesson and hits the playground. Haley makes him give the money back but it was pretty brilliant. I love Jamie and Sam hanging out together. It doesn't always end well but it's always adorable.

Mouth and Gigi continue to make me angry. Gigi suggests they hook up and Millicent never needs to know. Yeah, right. That plan never fails. I hope he doesn't do it. He's the biggest moron on the planet if he cheats on Millie. She's absolutely amazing.

Nathan gets shoved through the glass around the Slamball arena by an opposing player thay still has a high school grudge. The attack exactly mimics how Nathan got injured four years earlier. Everyone rushes to him, including Jamie, who asks him not to play Slamball anymore. He's okay but he agrees his Slamball days are done. I could not be happier he quit. I don't think Nathan will stay content to be just with his family but I'm sure he'll find another job in basketball before midseason.

So, what did you think? Tell me your TwoCents in the comments!

  2. I will admit I am not a normal One Tree Hill Viewer but was drawn to the sport by Slamball. I thought it was amazing how they incorporated the sport. In the final Slamball scene in this episode when Nathan's Ex-Rival, played by Slamball Star Lamonica Garrett, shoved Nathan through the glass I was at the edge of my seat. Even without being a normal OTH fan I was still very intrigued by the story line.

  3. It definitely brought a lot of attention to the sport as I must admit, I didn't even know about it until it became a big part of One Tree Hill. As a Nathan fan, it was both really entertaining and scary to watch him play. I hope they continue with it for Owen, even though it seems as though they've worked him out of the show for the time being.
