Top 10 Things I Learned from Entourage This Week

1. When encountering difficulty on a movie set (or in life), don’t waste your energy on minor gripes and grudges. Such is Vince’s new philosophy toward Verner, though it may not last long.
2. All women defend each other blindly and automatically. Such is Ari’s reaction to Barb’s (a.k.a. the “Wicked Witch of the East Wing”) continued resistance to bringing Andrew Klein into the agency.
3. You need to persuade a woman by explaining things to her. And saying “please.” Such is Ari’s daughter’s advice to her father.

    4. A slow and painful approach to revenge is best. Like pissing in someone’s orange juice. Such is Drama’s advice to Vince regarding Verner.
    5. Seth Green has a “thing” (not that kind of thing) for E and E keeps falling for it, though this does provide him with a handy excuse to see Sloan again.
    6. Verner = vermin.
    7. Filmmaking is a collaborative process, but is in no way a democratic process. Also, an actor’s body should not be distracted by the actor’s lines. Such is Verner’s advice to Vince, and Vince seems to be falling for it.
    8. This is maybe something most people already know, but it bears repeating: Big stars in the minors can’t always hack it in the Big League. Further evidence for this insight is provided when Barb asks Andrew to pitch a project to her as if she were Julia Roberts. Andrew proceeds to have an anxiety attack.
    9. Women saddle themselves up next to powerful men and then proceed to stand in the way of those men. Such is Ari’s proclamation at a Variety awards function celebrating the most powerful women in Hollywood (Barb checks in at #33).
    10. Seth Green in the Entourage universe is kind of a dick. Seth Green’s performance of Seth Green as a dick in the Entourage universe is kind of cool.

So what do you think? Will Vince subscribe to Verner’s advice on acting? Will Barb’s resistance to Andrew Klein lead to a division of Ari’s agency? Is Seth Green really that much of a dick in “real life”? Are we about to see more of Sloan on the show? Only two episodes left in the season!
