WOW! That seems to be all I can say about the most recent episode of Desperate Housewives. Without a doubt, it was the most intense, amazing, insane, suspenseful, etc episode of the season so far! The episode started with a flash-forward to the fire that would happen near the end of the episode. I love when Marc Cherry does this because if for some reason you don’t feel like watching the show - it will definitely change your mind.

Susan: Julie comes for a visit! She’s also bringing her boyfriend. Susan has all these wonderful expectations for Julie’s boyfriend until she sees a 40-year-old man kissing her daughter. Turns out, Julie is dating one of her old professors, and Susan is definitely not okay with this. It ends up being that he proposes to Julie at the club, but she says no, explaining that she never wants to get married. In a way, she’s blaming Susan for her decision since none of Susan’s marriages worked out for her.

Lynette: She finds out that Porter has gotten Anne pregnant because Preston told her. She then goes to talk to Anne and her husband overhears them. Lynette is told to leave, but then gets a bad feeling about it. She runs back into Anne’s house to find her husband beating the heck out of her. She does feel bad for this, which is an interesting emotion to feel for the woman who’s carrying her teenage son’s baby. Then at the club, Porter shows up and yells at Lynette saying that the whole situation is her fault. Anne’s husband, who kicks him out and locks him out of the club, punches him in the face. The episode ends with Porter holding a gun in his pocket and Anne’s husband accusing him of starting the fire.

Bree: Bree is going to be interviewed by a reporter from New York about her cookbook. She tries very hard to put on the best image ever, but in the middle of the interview, Orson gets a call from somebody filling in for his parole officer. The reporter then works very hard to find out different pieces of “dirty laundry” to use against Bree in the article and she digs everything up including Bree’s old drinking problem and Rex’s love for S and M. This adds for some comedy into a rather dark natured episode.

Gabby: Her and Carlos are put in Virginia’s will. This really creeps Gabby out, until she finds out that they are the sole beneficiaries to her entire estate. It’s not until Virginia decides to enroll the girls into a private school that Gabby gets really upset. This results in her and Carlos being taken out of the will. Despite the anger, Gabby still saves Virginia’s life in the fire, not knowing that Carlos has been injured. However, according to previews for the next episode, the injury ends up being a good thing for Carlos.

Edie: And here we go, into the JUICY stuff. Dave’s doctor has come to Wisteria Lane. Edie, not knowing who he was, invites him to the Battle of the Bands, which includes Dave. The doctor comes to the event, trying to talk to Dave. He agrees to do it after the show, but while he’s waiting for Dave, he notices that Mike Delfino is playing in his band. Apparently this is the guy that Dave wants revenge over, which is what I expected from one of the beginning episodes. Dr. Heller then tells Dave that the conversation cannot wait which causes Dave to take him into the storage room, kill him, cover him with booze, and set him on fire. During the fire, Mike goes in to find Jackson. He ends up passing out, and Dave runs in to save him uttering the words “I’m not done with you yet” or something along those lines. Many were injured in the fire, and a few died. However, nobody even suspects Dave since he’s technically the “hero” of the event.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait until the week after next to find out what happens because the American Music Awards are taking over the Desperate Housewives timeslot. But let me know what you thought of this intense episode! Leave your comments on here or email me at Faye@thetwocentscorp.com. I cannot wait to find out what your TwoCents were! I’ll see you all next week.
