A woman comes home from a run when she notices that she has a flat tire. She wants to fix it, but the tools which are supposed to be in her car are missing. She goes to her neighbours house to borrow some tools but he doesn't answer the door, she wants to see if he is in his garage. She steps inside but still doesn't get an answer and the light doesn't work. But due to the light that shines inside through the dooropening she is able to see the toolbox. She decides to help herself but soon her hands are covered in a sticky substancel. She finds a flashlight and when she turns it on she sees that everything is covered in blood.

She turns around and finds her neighbour tortured to death hanging from the ceiling by her arms, blood drained from his lifeless body through many wounds. He has been tortured to death and when they got the answer they wanted the person who tortured him stabbed him in his leg nicking the main artery.

The NCIS team is at the bullpen, Ziva is talking on the phone when with someone obviously angry but since she is speaking in her mother tongue no one knows what she is saying. Of course Tony is the first to comment when she hangs up on the fact that she seemed mad. She tells him and McGee that she is mad because her the airline lost her ticket to Tel Aviv.

Tony is curious and wants to know why she is going to Tel Aviv since she had just been there. Ziva tells him that normal people take vacations all the time. Which makes Tony only more interested because Ziva is not 'normal', I guess that he doesn't see her as the girl who does something just for fun. Throughout the whole episode he keeps asking her and teasing her about her reasons why she wants to go back or was it a who she goes back for.

The tools in the garage lead them to a marine who is a friend of the killed marine. Gibbs tells Tony to join him when they visit the friends house. Tony notices that there are a couple of men inside, at least one of them is armed. Gibbs rings the bell and when the armed man is standing behind the door he kicks it in. Only to find out tat Fornell along with some FBI buddies is in the house in hopes to keep the crown witness in a different case. The crown witness is the same man that Gibbs suspected for the murder of te murder victim, Hale.

Fornell lied to Gibbs again, or as Ziva put it he just merely withheld information. It is always the same with the two of them, when ever they meet they lie and deceive eachother but at the same time they are friends.

Hale escapes from his protection detail and goes to the house of a second marine, named Strauss. McGee tracks him down by the signal of his cellphone and when Fornell and Gibbs arrive at the place where according to McGee Hale should be they find him fleeing the scene of a second murder. Strauss is found dead in his appartment, also tortured. Since Hale is there and tries to flee he is obviously seen as the first suspect.
Gibbs wants to find out the truth, Fornell however is blinded by his goal to put a man behind bars who he has been after since he started his career. And with Hale as a crown witness he might finally have a fair shot at reaching that goal.

Ducky's time of death however shows that it is impossible for Hale to commit the murder on Strauss. When they get a call that Hale has once again escaped and that there is a security breach at one of the gates of the gates on the navy yard both Gibbs and Fornell know what Hale is after. He wants to make the person who is responsible for the murders pay.

Gibbs and Fornell arrive at the courthouse right before the murder suspect Azzari arrives for his trail in which Hale is the prime witness. Then Azzari arrives and right before the courthouse and in front of the news camera's Hale shows up. He points a gun at Azzari and even though both Gibbs and Fornell have him under shot he sees a chance to shoot Azzari. After which he gives himself up and he allows Gibbs to handcuff him. He says that he had to do it for his friends.

Abby is obsessed with a mold that she found on the rope which was used to tie the both of the tortured men. At first she tries to tell Gibbs about it but he is not so much impressed. McGee however is the next target of her 'mold obsession', her investigation of the evidence even goes so far that she has made pictures of 'mold sex'. Which she proudly shows him and asks him to tell her what it is.

At the end of the episode we see Ziva packing her ticket and passport before she leaves for Tel Aviv. Tony says something to her in hebrew which I can only guess was something along the lines of 'nice vacation' or 'see you next week'. I like how they twisted the roles around. At the end of season four and the beginning of season 5 it was Ziva who was trying to figure Tony's secret out. Now it is Tony who seems to be jealouse and wants to find out what or who Ziva is hiding. He even went as far as to search Ziva's desk. McGee points out to him that she will kill him if she finds him on his knees behind her desk going through Ziva's belongings. On the other hand it wouldn't surprise me if that picture of that guy on the boat was placed there by Ziva on purpose because she knew that Tony would go through her belongings.

Besides the gruesome murders and the tortured victims, the whole 'mold' rant from Abby and of course the Tony/Ziva scenes gave the episode a good middle ground. Exactly the ingredients which make this show so loveable. Well these where my two cents for this week, see you again next week.
