Gibbs like for instance CSI's Grissom is one of those people which you can't imagine as a child. Never the less we all know that he has a family and that he grew up somewhere obviously. And Tony, Ziva, Abby and McGee have been wondering the same thing. We all know that Gibbs is not the kind of man who tells about his past, he hardly tells anything about himself.

This episode a marine gets killed in an attack, another one is injured. While investigating the case Tony spots the name 'Stillwater' when he is researching one of the victims. He remembers reading the same name of a town in someone elses file, Gibbs' to be exact.

Tony read Gibbs' file and even though Abby and McGee are the computer geeks it doesn't surprise me at all that he couldn't contain his curiousity and tried to find out more about Gibbs. What did surprise me was the fact that apparently both McGee and Abby haven't.

The way that Tony, Ziva, McGee and Abby all want to find out who Gibbs was as a little boy. I loved it when Tony was almost in the elevator when Gibbs said 'gear up' and he told him to stay behind.

McGee and Ziva who couldn't stop grinning because they got to go with Gibbs. The moments caused lots of laughter, the one where Ziva was talking to Gibbs' father without knowing who he was. The two of them listening into private conversations between Gibbs and his father. And of course Ziva's question about what Gibbs' father had been looking at on the internet. And who can forget the moment where both McGee and Ziva ran back into the store to go and tell Tony and Abby that they had met Gibbs' father.

Tony taking Abby with him when he finally saw a chance to get to Stillwater to join his team mates was one of the best deciscions. We don't get to see her out of her lab all that often, so every chance they take is a good one.

That car! Oh my God what a car! The huge smile on Gibbs' face when he fired up that car and took it for a spin. Especially the way his team looked when he passed them. I betcha Tony would have wanted to be in Gibbs' new car instead of driving the other car.

Strange that Gibbs and his father haven't talked since the funeral of Shannon and Kelly. He even told his team once that his father was death. Makes you wonder why someone says that about their own familly. On the other hand they seemed to get along just fine. I mean sure there where some comments made which might not be called nice but still ... not the type of hostility you would imagine between family members who haven't talked for years.

I am glad that they reconsiled whatever it was that kept them apart for all these years. And I really hope that we will see some more of Gibbs' father, he seems like a nice man and the team instantly seemed to bound with him.

I guess that in this episode the team members represented the fans. We all like to know more about the personal lives of the team. Especially from Gibbs because he is so closed up. Over these past years there have been many situations where we as fans hoped that we would get an insight into the lives of the team members. For instance with the loss of Jen Shepard, we will probably never hear what happened in Cairo. Where she and Ziva met and worked together. Like Jen said; 'She is damn good. And I owe her. She saved my life in Cairo two years ago.' I would like to know what Ziva did to save Jenny, but now we probably never will. NCIS is of course a crime show, but the episodes in which they do something different either undercover operations, protection details or focus on a certain character make an episode that much more interesting.

There was a case in this episode too, but to be quite honest the scenes involving the case where overshadowed by the scenes between the team and of course Gibbs' father.

My favorite scene in this episode however must have been the scene where Gibbs is in his new car, watching the trainstation where he met Shannon. The scene in which it finally becomes clear who taught Gibbs the rules. It wasn't his father, nor was it a superior or Franks. It was Shannon, she was the one who set rules for herself to live by.

I personally think that this will be a series favorite for many fans. It seems as if the episodes just keep getting better and better all the time. I can't wait to see the next episode.

Do you agree with my two cents on this episode, or do you have a different idea? Let me know, I would like to hear it.
