I’ve got an idea for a hit TV show. It will be written by Aaron Sorkin who wrote The West Wing, American President and A Few Good Men. It will star Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives, Peter Krause from Six Feet Under and Dirty Sexy Money, Josh Charles from SWAT and Dead Poets Society, Joshua Malina from The West Wing and Big Shots, Robert Guillaume from Benson and The Lion King, Sabrina Lloyd from Ed and NUMB3RS, Teri Polo from Meet the Parents, Brenda Strong from Desperate Housewives, and the one and only William H. Macy from Fargo, The Cooler and Pleasantville.

Oh wait – this show already DID exist! It was called Sports Night and after two seasons of winning the “Best Show You’re Not Watching” award from TV Guide, it was cancelled in 2000.

Sports Night focused on the team that ran a Sports Center like TV show on a fictional network called CSC. The show showed up a great balance of human interaction, unfulfilled love, humor and sports. Every episode was written as strong as a wonderful play.

The finale contained the line “If you can't make money with Sports Night, you need to get out of the money-making business." Well, ABC should have gotten out of the money-making business. They just couldn’t seem to get anyone to watch this amazing show!

I’ve seen every episode a billion times and I can’t wait to recap them for you! We’ll start with The Pilot episode next week and then hit some huge highlight episodes from there.

    Tune in won’t ya?
