FADE IN THEME SONG:

“Now the story of a wealthy family who lost everything and one son who had no choice but to keep them all together, it’s Arrested Development.”

FADE OUT:

Thank you narrator Ron Howard. You said it best; we have a wealthy family who has lost everything and a son who must keep these people (or more like colorful characters) in check. Yeah…That’s just the beginning….

Raise your hand if you like to laugh! ME! ME! ME! Okay, so how about this, do you like to laugh so hard that it might seem slightly abnormal about how many times it happens in the course of 21 minutes? You do? Then you will love the brilliance that was Arrested Development.

Michael Bluth must save his wacky family after his father (George) is sent to jail for company fraud. Might sound like a drama, but trust me, it so isn’t, when you have:

    1. An older brother (Gob - a magician who can’t do magic),
    2. A twin sister (Lindsay - who’s job it is to shop and fight for causes),
    3. A brother-in-law (Tobias - a doctor turned actor)
    4. A younger brother (Buster - who is, um, well he’s Buster)
    5. A son (George-Michael - who might actually be the only normal one)
    6. A niece (Maeby – whose sole purpose might be to tick everyone off)
    7. A father (George Sr. – Who might actually like prison more than his family)
    8. And finally a mother (Lucille - who will drive you to the edge of madness)

…you have the start of Arrested Development.

While I’m putting their eccentricities lightly, you just wait. I have never seen a show so witty, so insane, and so well written in my life. If you haven’t seen this show you really missed out. Please, please, please catch up. It will make you appreciate what TV once had.

Now, want a taste of what’s in store….

    Michael Cera (George-Michael Bluth).
