Out of all the things you can learn from Dead Like Me, one of the top things is that nothing good can come out of you going within a hundred foot radius of a caged bear. Three people get taken out by either Dora the bear or as a result of being in the same vicinity as Dora. Gravelings are unpleasant business. We also learn that going home is a big mistake once you’re a reaper.

George goes home while her family is out getting their portrait taken, trying to look normal. Joy struggles with Reggie and tells her if thinking about George is painful, not to think about her. You can say Joy tries but she really doesn’t know her daughters at all and she only really tries every once in a while.

George goes home while her family is out getting their portrait taken, trying to look normal. Joy struggles with Reggie and tells her if thinking about George is painful, not to think about her. You can say Joy tries but she really doesn’t know her daughters at all and she only really tries every once in a while.

Rube finds out George went home and threatens her in his very Rube-like way. It is intimidating but I don’t know if it would stop me either. George goes home again and her mother chases her away horribly. Roxie picks George up in her meter maid mobile and comforts her.

We also find out that the punishment for going home isn’t the wrath of Rube, it’s actually much worse. George loses the memory of the story she wanted to tell her mother and also gets to walk around with the weight of her mother ripping Un-Her apart. I don’t know about you but that would mess me up really badly.
Rube finds out and asks her if she’s okay and she’s not.

George: So, my whole life, everything, all I get to keep are thoughts and memories?
Rube: That's all we ever have, peanut.

    Favorite Quotes of the Episode:
George: “Do you really care how it’s going with me?”
Rube: “Sure. I make my face look like this and the concerned words come out.”

And then of course, there’s the conversation between Mason and Roxie about Roxie getting a bird. It’s better to see it than to read it so here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3svdcCdowYE

So what did you think about Curious George? I really love this episode and I love that scene with Roxie and Mason. Did you have other favorite scenes? Leave your TwoCents in the comments!

Next week, I’ll be reviewing episode four, Reapercussions. Just what happens when you don’t reap a soul? We’ve seen that go a lot of different ways but never as bad as it goes in that episode.
