This is the second part of season final ‘Nemesis’ and season opener ‘Small Victories’, last week you could read my review on the first episode so naturally this week I present you the second part.

A Russian submarine ‘Blackbird’ in the area where Thor’s ship, The Beliskner crashed into the sea after it was infested with replicators attracts the attention of the surviving replicator. Two Russian men hear a strange sound when they are in the engine room, before they know it they are attacked and killed by the replicator.

It takes them a week but they finally manage to set the second gate up at SGC, and install a new iris. And finally O’Neill, Sam and Teal’c are able to return home. Daniel on his turn has had enough time to recover from his operation and joins his team.

Jack is still wanting to go fishing and just after he asks Sam to join him and she declines him, he leaves. Sam wants to research the a small piece of a replicator. Jack leaves, but before he can get away Sam calls him back. She tells him that Major Davis from the Pentagon is arriving shortly and that they can’t leave. Major Davis tells the SGC that a Russian submarine was overrun by technological bugs. The problem of course is that Russia is already suspicious because they picked up the signal from the Beliskner before it crashed into the sea.

Thor at the SGC through the stargate to seek help because his home planet because the Asgard are fighting against the replicators and loosing the battle. Thor thinks that SG1 can help him because the Asgard are technologically advanced. What he basically is saying is that he needs the help of humans because they are not as smart as the Asgard. Sam offers her help which earns her a comment from Jack that maybe she isn’t dumb enough to help Thor.

She says that she can handle it and leaves the SGC with Thor to go to his home world. While she is there she learns that the Asgard have a new ship purely designed to fight the replicators named ‘The O’Neill’. The vessel is the most technological advanced vessel the Asgard have ever build. But the vessel has not been finished yet and that they are loosing the battle, it will only be a matter of hours before the Asgard reach Thor’s home planet. Thor explains to Sam how the replicators work and what it is they actually do.

Jack and Teal’c investigate the submarine, the man who is with Teal’c gets killed and he is wounded. Janet pulls a piece of a replicator from his back which Daniel investigates.

A replicator builds their own blocks from whatever material is available to them. Daniel finds out that the new bugs are replicating using the submarine. This means that the new replicators which where made at the submarine aren’t as strong as the one that survived the crash. Because of this the replicators can’t leave the ship. They think that if they can kill ‘ the queen’ that they will be able to kill them all.

At the same time this key piece of information gives Sam an idea. A very risky one, but it might be worth while, especially when they hear from a different Asgard that they have lost contact with all other vessels.

Meanwhile at Earth both Jack and Teal’c are back at the Blackbird to destroy the ‘Queen’. After which a couple of torpedo’s will be fired at the Blackbird from an US submarine. The first part of the plan works but then the replicators track them down and back them up into a corner.

She thinks that if the Asgard use ‘ The O’Neill as a bait that the replicators will follow it. Sending it into hyperspace, with the other replicator infested Asgard ships behind it and then blowing it up might destroy all the ships. But it all depends on the replicators, do they really want the most technological advanced ship and will they follow the bait. And will the explosion destory all the replicators or will it just give them the most technologically advanced building block? That is the question, Thor wants to dismiss the idea because it is too risky. Sam argues that he asked her to come to his home planet to save them with and idea that the Asgard themselves could have never come up with. Finally Thor gives in knowing that he doesn’t have much of a choice. When Sam’s plan works he says that it was her ‘stupid’ plan that worked. Sam on her part counters back that if he ever needs another ‘stupid’ idea he knows where to find her.

There is no way for Jack and Teal’c to leave the submarine and Jack gives the order to fire the torpedo’s. Daniel doesn’t agree, but when he sees through Jack and Teal’c’s camera’s that there really is no way to save them he finally gives the order. The torpedo’s are send their way. But right before they explode Daniel sees that they are transported to space. Thor and Sam rescued Teal’c and Jack right in time.

Jack tells Thor that if he ever comes to Earth again that he will take him fishing. Thor sends Sam, Teal’c and Jack back to the SGC.

If you have a particular episode which you would like me to review feel free to ask, thus far I don’t have all 11 weeks set for a certain episode so I am available for request episodes.
