Jenny and Blair are at it! Spreading nasty tasty fun rumors around to Gossip Girl. Does this seriously still happen in high school? Georgina aka Sarah is making friends with Dan and Vanessa. They seemed to have adopted her as a friend. Georgina announces she wants to meet Serena. Back at school, Eric is quizzing Jenny about her new boyfriend Asher. Queen Bee thinks Eric simply has a crush on her... um…just you wait Jenny dear!

Dan walks out of school to see Asher kissing a mysterious boy. He gets upset and tells Asher what he saw. Asher is defensive and threatens to take Jenny’s virginity in front of him! Gross boy.

Gossip Girl gets the scoop that Asher is gay from Dan and tells the audience. While her narration isn’t witty, one of Jenny lackeys tells her, “Now you know how Vanessa Hudgens feels.” I always love a good Zac Efron joke. Blair and her “friends” try to find out if the gossip on Asher is true. They steal his blackberry and apparently by their pleased expressions, have found something interesting. In the next scene, an insecure Jenny jumps on Asher to prove he isn’t gay. But, Asher stops her and tells her he IS gay. She’s kind of hurt and I love her delicious pain. He tells her they should just use each other for status. She agrees and proves she will do anything to do it. Later we learn she spreads the rumor that she had sex with him.

Serena receives a package from Georgina. It’s a tape. We can’t see it but we can hear Georgina, a male voice, and I believe Serena. Think about it. We should all know by this point what this secret could easily be. Georgina stops by Serena’s for an uninvited dinner and “accidentally” announces she saw Eric kissing Asher. Lily freaks out in a homophobic way. Grow up old lady. Serena goes in to talk to Eric. She tells Eric that she will always be there for him. It’s a nice moment that shows she’s proud of him.

Jenny and Asher throw a party. Blair shows up ready to show Jenny the little something she found off his blackberry. “Sarah” and Serena meet. “Sarah” (Georgina) threatens to show Dan the tape Georgina filmed.

Blair has texts and pictures on Asher. Eric comes up to Asher and wants to talk, but Asher doesn’t want to play that little game. He calls Eric a harsh word and Blair ends up sending the pictures to Gossip Girl. Looks like little Jenny’s rep is going to take a nose- dive. Thank goodness. Bring that girl down a notch. Please?

Excellent! The Beettes brand Jenny a liar and take off in the opposite direction. Eric comes home to find Lily ready to apologize. She tells him she wants what’s best for him. Then for a rude reason she says she’s worried for his safety. Um what? They seem to make up.

Jenny comes to Blair’s house to tell her she’s won. Jenny tells her Blair she’s given up and that being popular wasn’t worth the trouble. I think that was obvious. Popularity isn’t worth stealing a $15,000 dress. Or is it? I wasn’t popular in high school so I have no idea.

Serena tells Dan that he shouldn’t trust Sarah. He gets angry and calls her jealous. Jenny comes home in tears. She’s crestfallen and wants her Dad’s trust and respect back. She apologizes profusely. Oh whatever. Are we supposed to like this little monster again? Not me. Moving on, Serena goes to Blair in tears. Blair tells her she can tell her just about anything. Serena takes a moment and confesses…she killed someone. WTF? We’ve got thieves, liars, blackmailers, bitches, and now murders amongst our Upper East Side friends? Hmm. I’ll give this revelation a little more time to be explained before I question Josh Schwartz’s mental state. Did any of you guys expect that? Regardless of how this goes down, I sure didn’t.

  2. No Nate and now Chuck = bad episode!
"gay bomb?" nope more like a gay bore.
Even if you never watched an episode and you had a severe mental impairment that required you to wear a helmet in public you would have been able to figure it out since both Chuck and Nate weren't even in the episode and Dan was the one who saw Asher and Mystery Boy make-out.

    Not the best episode.

The killing someone thing is so overdone. Everybody on a drama these days ends up killing someone. Whatev.

I am looking forward to next week cuz in the previews you see Nate standing there in the background while Serena tells Dan she did something wrong. makes me think Nate saved her from herself/someone else, etc. And I am still hoping against hope for a Serena/Nate romance. Is anyone else?

  3. i really liked this episode. i was shocked to see the eric was gay..and with asher? i expected the sex tape of serena though, it was obvious...but her killing someone was totally unexpected. it was a good twist to the show.

im looking forward to next week gossip girl as well. i hate to see things fall apart between dan and serena. im curious to see the guy who she slept with and the story behinf it. geogia is such a bitch. she came back and completely ruined serenas new life style. i cant stand her..shes worst than jenny and blair.

to tell you the truth, i dont want there to be romance between nate and serena, i liked how vanessa and nate were getting close.

  4. According to Zap2It there are no plans in the near future for a Nate/Serena reunion. We can rest easy! :)
