Tina Fey Finds “Baby Mama”

I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to go through withdrawal knowing there will be no new episodes of 30 Rock, co-starring Tina Fey, anytime soon. If you’re a Tina Fey fan like I am, here is something to look forward to.

The former SNL writer and recent Golden Globe winner, Fey, will be co-starring with her past Weekend Update anchorwoman, Amy Poehler, in the upcoming comedy Baby Mama (April 2008). I can’t stop watching the trailer, so here it is for your enjoyment. April can’t get here soon enough.

Agent Michael Scarn IS Maxwell Smart!

Steve Carell stars in a movie next summer which is yet another TV show brought to the big screen.

Carell is the lead in Get Smart which comes out in 2008. I loved watching this show when I was little. The shoe phone never got old for me. The best part looking back? The shoe phone was rotary!

Anne Hathaway stars as Agent 99, The Rock is Agent 23, Alan Arkin is The Chief, Masi Oka (Hiro from "Heroes") is in there and Terence Stamp plays the evil villain.

New Meaning to "Movie Musical"

I just found this little gem that I didn't even know existed!

Tomorrow a documentary is being released in the theaters called "ShowBusiness: The Road to Broadway". It's a documentary that follows four of the biggest shows of 2004. "Wicked", "Avenue Q", "Caroline or Change" and "Taboo".

The Wizard of Oz Witches' Prequel, Adult Sesame Street, Civil Rights, and the story of Boy George. What a wacky foursome huh?

The trailer looks very good. It won the "Spotlight Selection" at the Tribeca Film Festival but I doubt it will do well in the theaters. However, I also don't doubt that it will be on PBS relatively shortly for everyone to see!

An Ex You Want to Hang Out With

In a summer of blockbusters, sometimes you just want to go see a fun comedy.

In steps a new movie with Zach Braff but I don't think I'll leave this one questioning if I'll ever find true love or if it even exists.

Also, in "The Ex" we see Jason Bateman, who I think still doesn't get the respect and recognition he really deserves.

Also starring Amanda Peet, Mia Farrow, Donal Logue (who possibly is in every movie ever), Charles Grodin, Paul Rudd, Amy Adams (Purse Girl on "The Office"), Fred Armisen, and Amy Poehler.

It's Like A Really Long Digital Short...

SNL's Andy Samberg has been given his first movie.

The teaser trailer has been released and from the looks of it, he's a kid in the late 70s trying to be Evil Knievel on a moped.

It opens in August and also stars Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers), Ian McShane (Deadwood) and Will Arnet (Arrested Development) and Andy's SNL buddies Chris Parnell and Bill Hader.

Finally! I've been waiting for this!

A movie starring a star from "The Office" other than Steve Carell that looks great! (Yes, I heard Blades of Glory was great, but Jenna didn't star in it. She'll get her starring role soon enough I'm sure!)

The trailer for "Licence to Wed" starring John Krasinski ("Jim" to all the Dunderheads) is out and it looks funny!

Also starring Mandy Moore this film also has a few of John's "Office" friends pop up including Brian Baumgartner ("Kevin") you can see him at the 1:08 mark in the trailer. Also showing up are Angela Kinsey ("Angela") and Mindy Kaling ("Kelly").

It looks darker and action packed. I'm excited!

This Ain't No Aquanet...

The Broadway musical - "Hairspray" is coming to the movies thanks to New Line Cinemas.

The cast is very interesting featuring names like John Travolta (as the MOM), Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes, and Queen Latifa.

The trailer has been leaked by taken down most everywhere by New Line. If it's still there, you can catch it here...but I didn't tell you. :)

Sony Pictures Animation brings us more penguins, yes, more penguins.

They aren't escaping a zoo, they aren't surviving the harsh winter, and they aren't dancing.

These penguins are surfing! Here's the trailer for Surf's Up which comes out June 8th and stars Shia LaBeouf. Seriously folks, he's going to be huge.

The King is Back...

Kevin James has a busy few months ahead of him.

First, The King of Queens is coming back for it's series ending final episodes in April.

Second, he is co-starring with Adam Sandler in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry". The new trailer has just hit the internet and it looks pretty good. Keep your eyes open for those people who play bit parts in every Adam Sandler movie and also a few from King of Queens may pop up.
