After a slight delay due to weather, (thanks, tornado season!) Heroes recaps are back! The internet was buzzing with how amazing the episode was going to be, so I suppose it’s my job to recap it and let you decide. So, shall we?

There was so much anticipation, at least for me, surrounding a show down between Danko and Sylar. Especially since the last time we saw him, Sylar was delivering dead rabbits to Danko while he hid in his apartment. This time though, as Danko shaves the alarm goes off in his house, and leaves Doyle strung up like a puppet (irony). Danko somehow lures Mohinder into a room filled with incapacitated heroes and the super scientist soon joins them. Bennet tells Danko that he could get Rebel if they would just let Tracy escape and lead them to Rebel, and reluctantly Danko agrees. She breaks out with Matt, who is carrying Daphne, and Mohinder. Unfortunately, Rebel turns out to be Micah and Tracy can’t turn him in, so she helps him escape by icing a whole room full of agents, including herself. When she’s a block of ice, Danko shoots her which causes her to shatter.

Hiro and Ando quickly figure out that they’re supposed to be protecting Matt Jr. from getting nabbed by the government. His little baby power is working like a human battery: He can touch objects and they turn on. (Which is admittedly pretty cool.) There’s a small heart to heart between Ando and Hiro in which the latter explains how he saw his mother when he was time traveling around, but it’s short lived when Janice comes home. The government commandoes are right behind her and that’s about the moment Ando decides his power works pretty much like Elle’s did. The baby jump starts Hiro’s time freezing ability which allows for an escape to a bus terminal and more than likely a few light moments as these two guys try to take care of an infant.

Bennet meets with Angela and she knows that her time is almost up after seeing it in a dream. She manages to outsmart the government long enough to meet up with Swoosie Kurtz which is downright awesome. She gets no sympathy from her friend, so Angela takes her leave and almost instantly gets cornered by Danko’s men. She bolts into a building and into an elevator which is stopped immediately, so it looks like lights out for Angela. Until Peter saves her at the last minute and they fly up the elevator shaft.

Finally we have Matt and Daphne; she’s in rough shape and Matt manipulates her thoughts so that she believes she’s in Paris and he’s flying her around the Eifel Tower. In reality, she dies from her gunshot wound. RIP Daphne; we hardly knew ye.

So, do I think this episode was that great? No. I was really, really let down with no Sylar/Danko confrontation. I know next week’s episode is supposed to be Sylar based, so maybe I’ll just be patient. At least there was no Claire, right? What did you think about the episode? Did it meet your expectations or are you still pretty let down by the show? Leave me your Two Cents in the comments!
