The senior class is anything but innocent however in this week’s episode they’re playing that. Everyone is participating in Age of Innocence. Well, everyone but Chuck Bass who has a Dr.’s note for stage fright. Only on the Upper Eastside...

Blair finds out that Nelly Yuki got into Yale and that she didn’t. Not for early acceptance, not for anything. Someone let them know that she scandalized a teacher. Now she’s on a warpath to find out who did it so she can crush them like a bug. Her first choice – Nelly who tells her she’s innocent. Then Gossip Girl throws out a text about Blair’s sordid past with the Prince who was stooping his step mom. Blair’s next choice – Vanessa who clearly has no idea what Blair is going all Blair Witch about. When Serena’s secret also gets blasted by Gossip Girl, she accuses Blair of doing it. Blair didn’t and the only other person who knew Serena got into Yale was Dan.

So Blair runs off and threatens Dan - under her breath in the middle of the play. Only Lonely Boy realizes that his secrets were breached by Teacher Teacher. Dan tells Rachael she has to make things right with Blair but she refuses. So he walks right up to Blair and announces Rachael’s the one ratting Blair out to Gossip Girl “and by the way we had sex in the costume closet, do what you want with that.” Lonely Boy grew a spine.

But then Blair grows some empathy and she does nothing with the info. She just lets Rachael live with the guilt and shame... because as Blair found out the hard way – that’s the hardest part.

So Dan tells Serena the truth and she runs to Blair. Blair is wallowing in her karma which she realizes is now her own doing.

Speaking of lonely boy - Dan and Mrs. Robinson.... I mean teach Rachael, send secret notes through Jenny now that she’s officially a teacher again and he’s officially a career killer. Rufus finds the note and the key to Rachael’s apartment she tries to send Dan and he goes to her house and confronts her. But Rufus does nothing. No yelling, no police, not even a Mary Kay Latourneau reference. Yawn. Instead he lectures Dan who may be 18 but he’s acting like a developmentally challenged 2 year old. He insists on meeting with Rachael in the costume closet and they go at it.

Serena has the hots for the famous director who has decided to slum it by directing the school play but he’s more interested in Vanessa. Sneakily using Bluetooth while alone with him, Serena gets Vanessa to feed her movie wisdom. Problem is Nate walks in on Vanessa saying the line sand thinks she’s being wooed by Director Boy. Oh the Drama! Nate breaks up with her even when he realizes that she’s not interested in the gay director (yep, he’s gay). He says they have nothing in common. But no worries for N/V Shippers because they get right back together in a commercial break.

Chuck is off being Chuck Bass fabulous and he happens to run into the call girl who is lunching with Carter. Man, I was hoping they’d let the brain numbing storyline die but apparently not. Elle wants out of the country so Chuck entrusts her with Carter who is also in the secret society and it’s bye bye Elle. When she shows up again, after the Secret Society lets her go with cash, she admits she was using Chuck. She tells him he has a good heart and should give it to someone who cares.

The whole play thing is a snore fest until Nate can’t remember his line and decides instead to call the director an Asshat and threatens him for hitting on his girlfriend in front of a full house. Blair pipes up about losing everything she’s worked so hard for. Serena rambles on about having a backstabbing best friend. Nelly Yuki bitches about her fat suit. Now things are smokin’! The asshats director lies and says the whole outburst was his idea.

    Rachael disappears back to Iowa.

Chuck goes back to Blair. Only she’s not at home but he waits. While he’s waiting Carter moves in on Blair at the bar.
    Oh no!

So do you think Chuck and Blair will ever have a Happily Ever After?
Will Vanessa and Nate become interesting?

  2. Yay! I'm so happy that Elle is gone, but I hate the fact that Blair is getting involved with Carter, and maybe getting back together with Nate. Then again part of me wouldn't mind seeing Chuck fighting for Blair. Really glad the show is back on. For those of you who didn't get a chance to see it, I just watched it at this site here...
