Tami decides she’s going to veto her birthday this year. Landry appears back on the football team (for the first time all season I think) and Tim comes home to a messed up truck and an ever messier Billy who got dumped by Mindy. As if this wasn’t enough drama before the credits, Buddy Garrity shows u[ at practices and announces that the Dillon Panthers have been chosen to be the High School Game of the Week on National TV!

Tami decides she’s going to veto her birthday this year. Tyra is missing the high school drama and living the life of a rodeo wife hanging with Cash on the road. Cash seems to be in a wee bit o trouble with some cowboy peeps. They keep harassing him. When he gets 2nd place he freaks on her. She finds out Cash owes a ton of money to someone who will kick his butt if he doesn’t find it. Yeah.... like the audience didn’t see that one coming.

Landry is getting heat from the student body for the missing Class President. But he’s got bigger things to worry about – he’s asked to be interviewed by a news station about being scholarly athlete. Tyra calls in the middle of it with her drama and wow – she must feel like an idiot for leaving behind Landry who is going to go somewhere in life. While Landry plays football, Tyra gets man handled by Cash.

A scout from San Antonio is all over Tim Riggins like a GPS tracking system, but Tim keeps trying to blow him off. When Lyla offers to drive him he gets hammered with Billy 15 minutes before his meeting. Lyla and Tim fight about his lack of desire to better himself. She kicks him out of the car.

The next day Lyla runs into Mindy and they bond over their love of all stupid things Riggins. They decide to hang out. I know – a complete sign of the apocalypse. They get hammered together and then Billy shows up and Mindy takes him back. Tim shows up the next day and tells hung-over Lyla that he got into college and she takes him back too. Whew! All is right with the world!

The Saracen household is a mess. Matt and his mom have been talking. If Matt wants to go to college, then his mom will stay and take care of Grandma. When grandma finds out the possible plan, she loses it. She calls Matt’s mom the devil and accuses Matt of abandoning her. Come on Grandma, let the kid have a future. The stress of being with Julie and Matt.

Next up, the big game. Dillon starts it off by falling behind. Riggins is the only one who seems to remember how to play football. Coach decides to put Matt in the game and grandma and Matt’s mom bond as they rush to the game to see him live. It’s the Matty-n-Riggs show out there and .... Seriously I am biting my nails...... Matty gets a 1st down!!! And they win it! Thanks to Matt and Riggins. Go 7! Go!

Eric ignores Tami’s request for a non-birthday and, with Julie’s babysitting help, whisks her away to a hotel for an overnight visit. Tyra calls her and ruins everything. She has quickly become my least favourite character. She’s such a screw up – I don’t care what happens to her anymore.

    Best Dialogue this Friday Night
Tim: Oh wow! Hmm. Are you on a bender right now? I almost got a buzz off your breath. No No, like I don’t think it’s safe for me to drive right now. And for me to say that – that’s a lot.
    Lyla: I’m sorry.
Tim: Hey, don’t be. It’s fantastic.

So are you as sick of Tyra as I am?
Do you think she’ll run back to Landry? Will he take her?
