We open on a guy (kind of a Clive Owen-type) doing some serious grave robbing. Serious, not because grave robbing is never a good idea, but because he’s raiding the tomb of one of the Fulcrum agents Casey killed a couple of weeks ago at the Fulcrum barbecue. The Clive Owen guy, we’ll call him Cole, steals a weird belt buckle from the corpse. Too bad we don’t have an Intersect in our heads or we’d probably be flashing like crazy on it.

Meanwhile at Chuck’s, Ellie and her brother are hanging out. The phone rings. It’s Sarah calling for Chuck, but he’s screening and doesn’t take her call. Way to go, Bartowski. It might only be a matter of international importance. Ellie, still reeling from the news that Chuck and Sarah probably never would be anything more than boyfriend/girlfriend, tells Chuck he should think about breaking up and looking for a girl who really could be “the one.”

At the Spy More, Morgan wants to move in with Chuck for a while. It seems Big Mike and his mom are a little loud in the bedroom and it’s too much for him to handle. Chuck screens another phone call from Sarah, but she’s right behind him so there’s no avoiding her. She knows about Chuck wanting to “break up.” Damn those surveillance bugs.

In the Castle, General Grandma has some surveillance footage of her own. She’s got Cole on tape stealing the belt buckle. Chuck flashes and sees that Fulcrum was using the belt buckle as a storage device for secret bad guy information. General Grandma orders Sarah to investigate Cole and Casey tells her he’s going to have to get the guy’s pants off so they can grab the belt buckle.

Back at the Spy More, the b-story starts to unfold. Big Mike decides to give Morgan a little more responsibility and tasks him with interviews for a new green shirt. Lester and Jeff, of course, hijack the interviews and turn them into a casting couch audition for a new Spy More super model.

Casey, Chuck and Sarah stake out the bar where Cole has been spotted. Chuck doesn’t flash on anyone but Sarah buddies up to Cole rather to quickly to be at all believable.

Ellie and Awesome come home to find Morgan crashing at their place. He’s making dinner and cocktails, so it might not be that bad. Ellie tells Morgan that Chuck is probably out breaking up with Sarah and Morgan is shocked because they seem like the perfect couple to him.

Cole, obviously onto Sarah’s play, invites her up to his room. Once they exit, Chuck flashes on two Fulcrum agents getting onto the elevator with a lady and a baby carriage. Casey joins them while Chuck stays at the bar listening for Sarah to use her code word “Cristal” if she gets into trouble.

Casey gets into trouble first though. Since the baby carriage was just a decoy and everyone on the elevator besides him is a fulcrum agent. There’s a big gun battle down the halls of the hotel. Meanwhile, Sarah gets a little more than she bargained for with Cole and he’s got her gun away from her and he’s started to tie her up. Chuck, of course, didn’t hear any of this because he didn’t want to eavesdrop on Sarah and Cole. Once Chuck finally realizes what’s going on, he radios Casey, but he’s in the middle of a gun fight so Chuck sets out to rescue Sarah on his own. By the time he breaks down the door, Sarah already has Cole in custody.

Sarah and Chuck are taking Cole outside to the van when the spot a helicopter that isn’t one of theirs. Cole tells Chuck he’s a British agent working undercover and Chuck lets him go. Cole gets some weapons from Sarah and they shoot down the helicopter. It’s like a scene out of Die Hard for a second and then Cole goes all Ahnuld and tells Sarah to come with him if she wants to live. Just then Casey, who has no idea that Cole is from M1-6, comes up and knocks him unconscious.

General Grandma is apologetic for not knowing about Cole’s undercover assignment from M1-6. Cole shows them the Fulcrum device but explains that it’s useless without the playback device that he was going to be getting from the Fulcrum agents that Casey scared off at the hotel. Grandma wants Cole to stay on the DL for a while at the castle, with Sarah as his chaperone.

That night, Ellie and Awesome find Morgan in the nude in the kitchen getting a midnight snack. Maybe they need to rethink this whole Morgan crashing at their pad for bit thing.

In the morning, Chuck tells Ellie and Awesome that he broke up with Ellie is having second thoughts and Awesome thinks that Sarah will not be single for long. Sarah is looking at the intel on Cole and sees that he’s just her type.

In the basement, Cole tells Chuck, Sarah and Casey that he thinks that his cover is still intact. He wants to contact the Fulcrum to try to get the playback device. Sarah tells Cole that it could be dangerous. Cole eats danger for breakfast.

Cole goes to the hotel to wait for contact from Fulcrum. Chuck offers to hack the chip himself since he is, after all, a Nerd Herder. Nobody thinks it’s a good idea, but they leave Chuck alone with the chip anyway. At the hotel, Fulcrum demands Cole give them the chip. Sarah tries to step in, but they both get captured.

Chuck hacks the chip and sees that it contains video of him while he was being tested by Fulcrum in the suburbs. The Fulcrum agents track the chip, which Chuck has inadvertently activated, and now Chuck is captured as well but only after he destroys the chip.

Fulcrum knows that the data was accessed and they demand to know what data the chip contained. They start to torture Cole, but Chuck tells them he’s the only one who knows what data was on that chip. He explains that it’s him on the chip. He’s the Intersect, but Sarah and Cole explain that Chuck is just a computer analyst and Cole is the real Intersect. Fulcrum agents threaten Chuck with a huge syringe full of ricin and he passes out.

Casey goes to the Castle and asks General Grandma to load up some satellite data for him so he can find Chuck, Cole and Sarah. Back at the warehouse, the agent wakes Chuck and demand to know who the Intersect is. Casey and his team arrive and corner the agent, but she injects herself with the ricin before they can interrogate her.

Later, Sarah tells Cole that he is a risk because he knows that Chuck is the Intersect. Cole, channeling James Bond, asks Sarah to go on vacation with him. Upstairs, Chuck loads up the surveillance video and sees Sarah kiss Cole.

At the Spy More, Morgan tells Chuck that he realizes that he needs his own place. Chuck tells Morgan that they should move in together. Big Mike shows up and tells Chuck that he has multiple sexual harassment complaints on his voicemail.

Cole is being chauffeured away, but a uniformed CHiPs officer pulls along side the car and kills the driver, causing Cole’s car to crash.

Later, Morgan and Chuck go to the apartment and announce that they are moving in together. Sarah shows up and tells Chuck that Cole was captured by Fulcrum. She tells him since Cole knows that he is the Intersect, Chuck has to go into 24-hour lockdown protective custody meaning she has to move in with him. They see that Awesome, Ellie and Morgan are watching and they pretend they are making up.

  3. I have to disagree with you Anonymous. I love this show. I think NBC will renew it. I've heard whispers that they will.

  4. You've heard whispers? Maybe you should get that checked out. I didn't even hear that it might get canceled. When I read that comment on March 4th, I found out that there are, in fact, some petitions going around to save Chuck. I certainly hope it doesn't get canceled.
