  1. Culinary school student, Dana Miller, is a doctor who needs a doctor when she passes out chopping onions. She wasn’t happy being a cancer research doctor so she quit. Now she only does things that make her happy, she says. Seriously, chopping onions is a happier job than curing cancer? If you say so.

At the beginning of the episode, Hadley and Foreman wake up in bed together. Wilson does dishes but leaves a cup with lipstick on it sitting dirty on the counter.

House has to climb the stairs since the elevator is out of service. Everyone else got to take the elevator. Why not House? Because it’s not really broken, that’s why. Cuddy spends all her time ogling her baby via the nanny cam, and then talks about doing her job. Um, yeah, right. Workin’ hard or hardly workin’, eh Cuddy? Someone set a trip wire in House’s office. House thinks it’s Cuddy and if he doesn’t fight back, he’ll win. Cuddy steals House’s cane too. That girl fights dirty.

Wilson appeals to Dana. She says she was in a rut and asks him what his rut is. He later apologizes to Dana for unloading on her and admits that his rut is not being able to get over Amber’s death. He’s still so not over it that he leaves the last cup that she used exactly where she left it. That’s just…unsanitary.

Taub asks his wife if she thinks they should have kids. She says she told him on their third date she didn’t want kids and she still doesn’t.

Foreman tells Hadley that he switched her to the drug. She says they’ve been dating two weeks and she’s not ready to know that he risked his career for her. Hadley has a brain tumor and now she can’t see. House and Foreman give her radiation treatment.

Dana scratched her head all the way through to her brain. Gross. Wilson talks to Dana about his not being able to get over Amber. That was her cup in the beginning. Ew, hasn’t that thing started to mold yet?

Dana’s problems come from her period and a previous uterine surgery. Apparently, she’s having a period all over her body which is about the strangest thing I think I’ve ever heard, even on this show.

Hadley can see again and Foreman turns himself in. He gets to keep his medical license so that’s convenient.

Taub broods over not having a kid. Wilson finally washes that moldy cup. How had that thing not started to smell by this time?

So what’s your rut? Is it ok that sometimes I don’t wash the dirty cup on the counter too? I mean, I don’t have grief as an excuse, but does laziness count? Don’t be too lazy to leave a comment!
