Bill Buchanan offers himself up as the head security to escort President Taylor to see Henry at the hospital. Ethan doesn’t like it, but she insists on being by his side. Meanwhile, Dubaku meets up with Marika at her work. He asks her to leave the country with him and she agrees. Of course, she doesn’t know who he really is. Meanwhile, Larry isn’t happy that Renee is following Jack’s lead, and Jack overhears her lamenting about the hostage situation she was involved in. She maintains that she is all right, and they follow a lead to a possible Dubaku safe house.

Chloe arrives at FBI Headquarters per request of Bill. Morris is driving her and we see her son Prescott in the back. (I KNEW she’d have a boy... don’t ask me why). Morris reminds Chloe that if she needs him she should call. Larry sets Chloe up in the conference room and it concerns Janis. Meanwhile, Dubaku feels threatened in his effort to leave the country, so he tells a mystery contact that if he doesn’t survive the trip home that he will have every business transaction of theirs sent to the justice department. As Marika is packing her bags, Rosa challenges her on her thoughts of Dubaku. Just as Marika is about to leave, the door comes smashing open and in comes Jack and Renee. Jack starts to demand answers on Dubaku’s whereabouts. But Marika tells him that he means everything to her and doesn’t believe that he is who they say he is.

The President arrives at the hospital and gets the latest on Henry. The doctor tells her that he will be in surgery for at least 5 hours and they won’t know anything for sure until then. She is able to quickly speak with Henry before he goes under and tells him that she now knows that Roger’s death wasn’t an accident. Afterwards she asks Bill if he will bring her daughter Olivia to hospital, even though they hadn’t spoken in some time. Elsewhere, Jack and Renee are going over Dubaku’s dossier to Marika. She admits that she was going to meet him that night to leave with him. Jack asks her to receive his call as she normally would so they can start to trace him. He tells her that he’s sending a car to pick her up, so Jack asks her if she’ll volunteer to go along with him. Rosa protests, but Marika wants to do it. Jack asks Chloe to set up tracking for Marika’s cell phone. Janis gets irked when she tries to access what Chloe is doing but is denied.

We meet Olivia Taylor while she’s attempting to work a deal with someone. The person that Bill deemed trustworthy to the President interrupts them, and it turns out to be Aaron Pierce! All of us that are 24 geeks remember that he was Palmer’s most trustworthy secret service agent. He also helped Jack on more than one occasion. He tells her what’s happened with her father. At the FBI, Janis approaches Sean and asks him to help her figure out what Chloe is doing. When he refuses, she threatens to tell Larry and Sean’s wife about his affair with a fellow agent Erica. He reluctantly agrees to help after being blackmailed by her. Later, Dubaku’s driver picks up Marika and Jack and Renee are following behind. Chloe is helping them on satellite, and just then Janis overrides Chloe’s block to see what she’s doing.

While Chloe (and Janis) is tracking Marika’s car, Janis sees someone approaching and backs out of the system. This makes the grid shut down and Chloe tells Larry that someone has breached the system in his office. Just then, police surround Jack and Renee because the FBI issued a warrant for their arrest! Janis goes over to Sean to thank him for helping. After she leaves, Sean calls that same mysterious fellow that was dealing with Dubaku! The mystery man then calls Dubaku and tells him that the FBI has turned Marika. Dubaku wants to deal with her personally when she arrives.
Ok, so we found one of the moles. And wouldn’t you know it’s that cheating cheater-pants Sean! It seemed too obvious to me that he was the guy, so I guess their ruse worked on me again! It reminds me of the time when we first learned that President Logan was a bad guy when they made it seem like it was the Vice President. I loved seeing Aaron again. Speaking of Logan, I wonder if Aaron is still with Mrs. Logan? Hey, I’m a sucker for that stuff. What do you think? Did YOU know that Sean was the mole?
OMG- Chloe and Janis will team up to form one UBER HACKER!! Sweeeeet.
ReplyDeleteGreat eppie! I loved the moment when Jack and Rene burst into Marika's apartment -- so unexpected. Wonderful to see Aaron again -- I love his character! Chloe just plain rocks and I enjoyed the cameo of Morris (will he be in later episodes?).
