As the newest season of 24 begins Sunday night, we have some questions lingering that we hope will be answered. Now, where were we…

Karen & Buchanan were asked to resign quietly with dignity after both of their transgressions. Will we see them again?

Jack’s bad daddy Phillip was left to die on a rig that was destroyed by the US Air Force. I wonder if he’s really dead? And then there was the creepy comment that Cheng made while being taken into CTU custody, that his people wouldn’t abandon him like they did Jack Bauer. I wonder if that will come into play this season?

And then November brought us Jack’s well awaited return in the 2 hour movie “24: Redemption”. It turns out he was hiding with a longtime friend doing relief work in South Africa. The US had a subpoena for Jack and demanded he come back home to stand trial. In the midst of this, a militant group of African soldiers attack the camp that Jack was hiding in to take some of the children. Jack and his friend are forced to take the children to the US Embassy with the hope of saving them. With the insurgence getting stronger, South Africa is boiling in unrest and many try to leave. President Daniels orders the Embassy to leave the country. The Embassy allows the children to take the last copter out, but only if Jack surrenders. He does and gets carted off to face his trial.

We met some other key characters in the movie. Jonas Hodges is an American supplying weapons to the militant group, cementing his bad-guy status. You know he will be popping up at some point. But who will he be tied in with? We also were introduced to the country’s first female President, Allison Taylor. She has a pointed conversation with President Daniels who is leaving office soon. She thinks that Daniels may have pulled American forces for a specific agenda, but doesn’t know what. Meanwhile, her son Roger is looking into some evidence of laundering that was brought to him by an old friend, who is murdered by Jonas’ men at the end of the show.

Are there any questions that YOU have that demand answers? I mean, OTHER than why Kim Bauer has disappeared from the show with C.Thomas Howell. Hey… at least it wasn’t the mountain lion from season 2.

    What do you think?

  2. It's been spoiled awhile back by a couple different sources that Bill and Chloe will be back. I think Morris, too. No word on Karen, though. Wasn't there a rumor for awhile Kim might be back?

I swear, if they try to get Jack and Renee romantically involved, I'll scream. Then again I was also happy to see the back of Audrey. Maybe it's just me, but I still miss Teri.

  3. It's not just you, Brittany.... I liked Teri... she was very real and believable

I want to say that I saw a scene with Bill Buchanan in a trailer somewhere. But I didn't know what he'd be up to.

    I'm glad Tony's back.
