  1. Tonight on Old Christine, Richard and New Christine get married! Well, not yet. But they do have their bachelor/bachelorette’s parties. Which, where Christine and Barb are involved, are a lot more interesting anyway.

Morning in Christine’s kitchen, New Christine describes her miserable excuse of a bachelorette’s party. Barb reveals the surprise of the one Matthew is planning for Richard to him: laser tag. And Richard’s brother, Joe. After some persuasion, she also gets Christine to agree to invite New Christine to a party in Vegas. Just like the one they had before. This should be a warning sign. They arrive at a casino, New Christine as innocent as Christine and Barb aren’t. Back locally, Matthew, Richard, and Joe suit up for laser tag, in the face of their menacing opponents. But this isn’t the worst of their problems once Joe finds out Richard picked Matthew to be his best man.

Back in Vegas, the girls sit down to drinks until a guy comes to hit on New Christine. Annoyed he thought she was NC’s mother, Christine gets rid of him. When their shots come, New Christine says that she’s never had tequila before. But then, apparently, likes the taste. In the laser tag place, Joe is still pissed at Richard while Matthew gets entirely too into the game. But New Christine’s love of tequila is growing by the moment- and the drunker she gets, the lower her inhibitions go. Christine tries to ignore her guilt, despite Barb’s concern.

New Christine, unfortunately, has run off to start her own kissing contest with a group of strangers. Christine and Barb pull her away as things get similarly worse at the bachelor’s party. Matthew runs off, asking Richard and Joe to distract the other team. They don’t, instead arguing about how neither is ever there for the other. Finally, Richard agrees to let Joe be his best man. And Matthew is killed rather spectacularly by the other team. Meanwhile, Christine and Barb help new Christine recover from her drinking spree. She’s worried she should live life more before marrying Richard. Christine would probably encourage this if it weren’t for Barb. But New Christine runs off yet again. There’s a complicated bit where it turns out Joe is never available to be Richard’s best man so Richard asks Matthew again, but Matthew, insulted, refuses. And then agrees again. Finally, though, New Christine is found flirting with another guy. Fortunately, this seems to be all the more reason for her to get married.

The show won’t be back for a couple weeks. Do you think Richard and New Christine will actually get married? What’s in store for everyone else? Discuss the episode in comments!

What Old Christine Taught Me This Week:
    1. Making out with strangers is sophisticated.
    2. Raging at inanimate objects is fun.
    3. You should probably not pick your ex’s brother over your own as best man.
    4. That girl in the Vegas brochures is apparently a big attraction
    5. Turns out getting drunk in Sin City can backfire. Who knew?
