  1. Unfortunately, my DVR was unaware of the schedule change with this show so I missed the first five minutes, but from what I gathered, Jeff lives with chronic pain and is suicidal. Man lives with chronic pain. House lives with chronic pain. Hmmm…anyone else sensing a parallel?

House is taking a huge amount of vicodin in this episode. Also, he has a leak in his roof and the ceiling comes crashing down. Symbolic maybe? Someone’s jacked with his pipes, according to the repairman. House says he didn’t do it and insurance won’t cover it since it appears to be deliberate so House writes a nasty letter to the insurance company then bribes the repairman to say that it wasn’t House’s fault so the insurance company will pay.

Secondary storylines items: Hadley says she won’t date Foreman and avoids his prodding to do so. Cuddy has a baby for the moment and Janice the Huntington’s patient is back.

House seems jealous of Cuddy’s baby because the baby is keeping her away from the hospital. Cuddy is at home playing stay-at-home mom. Her house is a mess and social service is there to see if she gets the baby. And yay! She gets to be the baby’s foster mom!

Jeff convinced his son to act like he’s in pain so that he can be alone to down a bottle of poison to kill himself. House is on to the plan. The kid says that they should just let his dad die.

Wilson visits Cuddy and doles out some really good advice for a change. Cuddy seems down in the dumps over getting to keep the baby and says she failed by her standards. Wilson says women always set their expectations too high and never ask for help and that she should stop it and relish the fact that she’s now a mother.

House says they should take Jeff off the painkillers because maybe the pills are causing his pain. The theory is that eventually his brain will stop seeing the painkillers as pain inflictors and get back to normal. That doesn’t happen. Jeff’s wife wants House to stabilize Jeff so that he can go home and kill himself because she doesn’t believe House can help him anymore. House agrees.

The repairman has fixed House’s plumbing and House has an epiphany seeing the repairman scratch his, ahem, junk. House thinks Jeff’s been having seizures in his testicles and has epilepsy. House is right, of course.

Cuddy offers Cameron her job. Say what? I know Cuddy is feeling a little overwhelmed with the baby and all, but seriously?

Oh, and House did break his own pipes since he uses the pipe to balance himself getting in and out of the tub. Oops.

Ok, so next week Cameron is just filling in for Cuddy. This is not going to go well, for Cameron, I mean. What’d you think of tonight’s episode? I’m so happy Cuddy got her baby, but I mean, she’s gotta man up if she’s gonna stick this mommy gig. Leave your two cents in the comments.
