  1. Sheldon Cooper is, once again, on a mission. This time his ingenious plan is to inject himself into Leonard's relationship with Dr. Stephanie Barnett with the counter intuitive goal of saving it.

He starts by confronting Penny with some casual urban slang, warning her not to look for a hook-up with Leonard. A bewildered Penny asks why, and Sheldon tells her that Stephanie is the only one of Leonard's girlfriends he's ever found tolerable (the statement stands for itself), so he must keep them together. One very important reason is because she is the medical officer for their landing party, where Leonard is Kirk, he is Spock, Howard is Scotty, and Raj is a doomed redshirt. Poor Raj can't get a break.

Aside from keeping Penny at bay unnecessarily, Sheldon also decides to intrude on all of Leonard and Stephanie's dates to make sure Leonard doesn't screw up. We find out that Stephanie interned at the same hospital where Sheldon was born, which leads to a fun Young-Sheldon-science-experiment story. At the movies, he becomes even more bothersome as he searches out the acoustic sweet spot by making his odd sounds echo through the theater. Love love LOVE this scene.

Later, Sheldon is dismayed to discover that Stephanie's Facebook status still says she is single. After unsuccessfully trying to gain command of the relationship from Leonard, Sheldon seeks out more information from Penny, Howard, and Raj about why Leonard fails at relationships. Sadly, he gleans nothing, but we do get a fantastic OCD moment when he can't keep himself from doing a third “*knock knock* Penny!”. This is one show that, in my opinion, has hilarious moments that are in keeping with the characters, and not just absurd situations.

Sheldon comes up with yet another plan to show Leonard as the alpha male by having him open a pre-loosened jar in front of Stephanie. Unfortunately, Leonard can't manage this, smashes the glass into his hand, vomits, and cries when she puts in his stitches. Finally, Plan D is to hack Leonard's Facebook account to announce he is in a relationship before Stephanie has done so – a HUGE no-no apparently. Leonard freaks out on him, until a squeaky Raj points out that the plan worked and Stephanie has reciprocated the status on her page. Awww.

I've enjoyed pretty much all of this season, but it was nice to have more of a summary for this episode. Lately, BBT has been funny, but not very eventful, so it's good to see more happen, though I stand by my opinion that they shouldn't go overboard with contrived situations for a laugh track. I think this episode was almost perfect, with the only thing needed being more Raj and Howard!

What did you guys think? What's the opinion on Stephanie? Leave your Two Cents down past the quotes. Peace out!

    Best Quotes

Stephanie: You tried to build your own CAT scanner?

Sheldon: I didn't try, I succeeded. In fact, I was briefly able to see inside of my sister's guinea pig Snowball before he caught fire. Led to an interesting expression in our house: “Not a snowball's chance in a CAT scanner.”

Sheldon: Pursuant to Starfleet General Order 104, Section A, you are deemed unfit and I hereby relieve you of your command.

Leonard: General Order 104, Section A does not apply in this situation.

Sheldon: Give me one good reason why not.

Leonard: Because this is not Star Trek!!

Penny: I'll tell you what happened. We were young, we were very much in love, but we could only communicate through a time-traveling mailbox at my lake house.

Sheldon: It's not enough that you made me watch that movie, but now you mock me with it?

Raj: Well, if you want to guarantee his appeal to Stephanie, your best bet would be to kill all the other men on the planet.

    Raj: (squeak)

Penny: What's wrong, Lassie, did Timmy fall down the well!?

Sheldon: If I am permitted to speak again, Dr. Sheldon Cooper for the win.

  2. I love The Big Bang Theory, and I loved this Monday's show. Stephanie is great. My favorite scenes are with Penny and Sheldon interactions.
