So even though CBS cut out on me for a few minutes and I didn't get to see what Penny did to ruin Sheldon's laundry night, what I saw of the episode was hilarious. Great to finally see a nice B-plot for Howard and Raj too.

We start out with the guys playing Klingon Boggle, but this is interrupted by Penny, who needs to borrow their TV to watch America's Next Top Model since she didn't pay her cable bill. I was irked by a continuity issue when Leonard tells Sheldon not to reveal to Penny what they were playing, even though he told her himself in Season 1, but no matter. An oblivious Sheldon keeps spelling Klingon words while the rest of the group is ogling models. When Howard and Raj discover that the ANTM house is in L.A., it becomes their mission to find it by freeze-framing each episode to look for clues to its location so Howard can meet the many future Mrs. Wolowitzes apparently residing there.

Penny gets her “second strike” against Sheldon (the first being for forwarding LOLcat emails) when she touches one of his onion rings. When she sits in his spot and refuses to move, it's strike three, and she's banished from the apartment. Penny retaliates by banning Sheldon from The Cheesecake Factory, and then giving him questionably hygienic food when forced to serve him.

From CBS's online clip, I can see that after this Sheldon blocked Penny from their wi-fi, complete with an evil recording message, and awarded everyone else an additional strike for trying to get her back online. When my recording returns from its blackout, Sheldon has strung her panties up outside the building. Muahaha. The war ends when Leonard gives Penny the phone number of Sheldon's mother to tell on him. Apparently, taking the online class is not the only way to remove your strikes. After a brilliant tantrum, Sheldon apologizes.

So what did you think? And what did I miss? Leave your Two Cents in the comments.

    Quotes:

    Raj: EEH! (pointing)
Leonard: Sheldon's onion ring, just put it back!
    Penny: It's one onion ring.
Howard: Just put it back before he comes!
Leonard: (nervous) No, I don't think that's where it was.
Howard: Here he comes! Deny, deny, deny, people, wall of silence!

Sheldon: March 18, you violated my rule about forwarding email humor.
    Penny: I did?
Sheldon: The photo of the cat who wants to “haz cheezburger”?

Leonard: Don't worry, [the strikes] only stay on your record for a year.
Howard: You can get them removed early, but you have to take his class.

Leonard: Just so I know, would you be open to taking his class? You can do it online!

Howard: You know what, if it's creepy to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous supermodels so that I can drop in on them unexpectedly, then fine, I'm “creepy”.

  2. After the wifi disaster, Penny says she was in junior rodeo and can tie up and castrate a cow in a minute. She leaves on that ominous note. Sheldon does his laundry every Saturday night at 8:15, so when he left his apartment right on time, ready to do laundry, Penny was there. She followed him all the way downstairs and feigned shock when all of the washing machines were taken. Sheldon tried not to panic and told her he could just do his laundry another night. Penny said he could but he'd always know that his laundry was not done on laundry night.

Later, Penny storms to Sheldon and Leonard's apartment. She knocks on their door like Sheldon knocks on hers, only she pounds on the door and yells Sheldon between knocks. She demands to know where her clothes are and after being Sheldon smug, he says he saw some clothes on the telephone line. She asks how he did that and he explains it's easy if you know the laws of physics.

I really loved this episode! It had so many fantastic moments and I loved that Penny got a strike for LOLcats.

  4. I was rolling when Penny took the washers ~ the expression on Sheldon's face was priceless (I love anything that makes him twichy!) His line was something to the effect of "Woman, you are playing with powers you cannot ken."

Penny: "Well your Ken can kiss my Barbie."

And Leonard's line of "Oh no, not the junior rodeo" ~ his delivery was hilarious.

I was surprised though, I think this is the first episode of the season that had NO Batman reference! Sheldon had a spiderman quote & a superman shirt ~ but no Batman moment. I was a little depressed. That's become our "moment" to watch for (kind of like waiting for the theme line in each Two & a Half Men episode - we bet on who will say the line every week.)

  5. Does anyone know where I can find an EXACT DUPLICATE of the shirt that Sheldon wore in the "panty_pinata" episode? I cant find it anywhere!
