Alright, we start off with Christina in the hospital, due to her fall down the steps in last weeks episode. Det. Averaimo (Mark Consuelos) questions Betty on Daniel's whereabouts after the party and she tells him that Daniel asked her to lie about it and never tells her where he was.Det. Averaimo shows that Daniel's shoe print was in the stairwell where Christina was found. Where was he, really? We will find out later, I promise. Then Hilda asks Betty if she and Tony can use her apartment as their "love den", "meeting spot".... call it what you want. Betty says no.
At the hospital, Wilhelmia makes a big scene and tries to get all the attention, pretty much ignoring Christina.

At the hospital, Wilhelmia makes a big scene and tries to get all the attention, pretty much ignoring Christina.
As Hilda and Tony are having lunch at Betty's, Tony decides to take a shower while Hilda goes for ice-cream. In walks Ignacio, and he finds out Tony is married. OOPS! That wasn't all he sees.
So most of the show Betty is trying to find out who could have done it. She first finds out that Stuart had a motive. Christina tells her about the fight they had because of the drugs. But he explains that the experimental treatment she paid for, didn't work.He is dying and in a lot of pain.
Amanda is in need of cash. She maxed-out all her credit cards and needs the reward money. She says she saw Marc slap Willie and threaten her. Here we find out he was talking to a Willie-mannequin (quite funny). He admits he wants to get ahead in the magazine world too, but Willie gets in his way.
Claire took a drink, well .... many drinks after going off on Willie at the party. She approached Christina ready to say some bad things to her about carrying Willies baby, but passed out. Christina took her to the restroom where they meet Alexis. Alexis takes her mom and helps her.
So now Marc, Amanda and Betty try to recreate what happened in the stairwell. They get the Willie-mannequin and throws it down the stairs.That didn't work.They all get to the edge of the stairs and all fall down (kind of like ring -around-the-rosy). Any ways, Betty gets up and is covered in dust. The same dust that was on Daniel's coat when he gave it to her to take to the dry cleaners. Now let me just say, I was so glad to see the 3 amigos working together. What fun!
Betty finds the security tape in Daniel's office and takes it home. There, she finds out he is sleeping with the lawyer that is helping him with getting custody of DJ. He then mentions that Betty give the coat she got cleaned, to Alexis since she had used it. (here is where the alarm bells go off in our head)
Betty confronts Alexis. Alexis tells how after the party she talked to Wilhelmina, and Wilhelmina warned her she will never be rid of her, thanks to the baby and that she knows all of Alexis' secrets. Alexis, very angry, storms down the hall and breaks her heel on the shoe. She then borrows Daniel's sneakers, and heads for the restroom. When she saw Christina and Claire walk in, all she saw was Willie, instead of Christina. So when her mom passed out, Alexis followed Christina to the stairs. All she could think of is what Willie has put the family through. She didn't think, she just....PUSHED! When she realized what she did , she ran to her and called 911. She never wanted Daniel to get the blame.
Betty tell Alexis she is a good person, but she needs to prove it. Alexis tells the family and police. Just before being arrested, Alexis tells her mother she accidentally read one of Daniel's pieces of mail. It was the paternity test results. She is DJ's father, not Daniel! WOW! Who saw that one coming?
Surprising moment:How sensitive Willie was to Christina when she found out Stuart was dying. Willie filled the room with flowers and made it more private from reporters.
Ok, so Betty did all the detective work. Where was Det. Averaimo? I guess he will be in a couple more to come.

Betty was definitely better than the first two episodes this season.
ReplyDeleteThe paternity test results were definitely a shock, but more shocking for me was how nice Willie was to Christina at the end. But nice Willie is even scarier than mean Willie - it's so out of character!
I actually don't think we'll see more of the Detective. Since they solved the case, my guess is he's done.
So next week, Gio's back! Looks like they'll put some closure to that storyline - will we ever see Henry again for a little closure with him?
Gio...ugh(IMO) I hear he is not too happy with her, but we will see. I hope we see Henry this year, and not only once, hopefully a couple times.
