Lucas goes on his book tour and finds out that not even Omaha is interested in The Comet. Mouth has become a big local celebrity but deeply misses Millicent. Aw. I would too. Brooke and Millicent try to figure out what’s next for dear old B. Davis and Haley has an idea. Nathan looks in to a way to play ball again but not the kind he was expecting.

Let’s start with Nathan. Am I the only one who thinks Nathan playing Slamball is a bad idea? I mean, he’s been trying so hard to try to just play regular basketball, without trampolines and midair body slams. I hope this season doesn’t take Nathan back down the injured and depressed route. He deserves a bit of good luck but I’m not sure Slamball is it.

Lucas’s book tour starts and ends in Omaha. Only Mouth shows up and Lucas is grateful to have him. A girl asks Lucas to sign her book but it’s a Gossip Girl book. He signs it anyway. The rest of his tour gets canceled and he and Mouth decide to return to Tree Hill together via road trip.

Peyton doesn’t fair too well this week either. Her father finally admits he is her father when she finds him drunk on the pool table in the studio. He insists he wouldn’t have been a good father and that she did better with the family she got. Peyton ends up calling her adoptive father and it’s a nice moment.

Millicent is fantastic. Every time Brooke had an idea and Victoria criticized it, Millicent wrote it down. The ideas range from sky diving to watching every James Bond movie and the idea of making a list like that is a pretty neat one. It’s not quite a bucket list but more of a things to do to find yourself list.

Haley sees that Sam is in trouble and while she’s not being beaten, she is definitely being neglected. Sam insists her current foster home is the better of all the ones she’s been in but it’s not good enough by Haley’s standards. Haley manages to talk Brooke into taking Sam in by saying that Sam reminds her of a younger Brooke. Both Brooke and Sam are hesitant about the arrangement but when Sam sees that she’ll have her own room for the first time in her life, she relaxes. For now, anyway.

Then there’s Dan, who’s all bummed that Nathan hates him. Honestly, you should be lucky that he’s letting you watch Jamie unsupervised. That’s a big step for Nathan and Haley. Dan tells Jamie that carrots don’t give you x-ray vision and that ice cream after school is fine by him. It’s really adorable, actually.

All in all, it was a pretty tame episode. Next week, it looks like the crazy meter gets cranked back up a bit so strap in. What did you think? Leave your TwoCents in the comments!
