The title of tonight’s episode is pretty self explanatory as to what will happen, especially based on David Wallace’s comment at the end of last week’s episode. Holly is being transferred to the Nashua office because of her relationship with Michael. However, it wasn’t the only story line being told. Jim has lunch with Pam and his brothers in New York to celebrate the engagement. Dwight faces off with Andy in the conference room.

On the way to Nashua, being driven by Daryl in a company truck, Holly confesses to Michael that the distance between them will be too difficult for her overcome to keep their relationship going. Typical Michael Scott, he tries to ignore the message she is sending to him. Michael finally understands and decides not to stay with her for the weekend and ride back to Scranton with Daryl. Daryl attempts to help Michael cope with his sadness by giving Michael some background blues music to sing to. Unfortunately, Michael has no idea how to sing the blues and just repeats the blues riff Daryl is humming.

Jim left the office to meet Pam in New York for lunch to celebrate their engagement with his two brothers, Tom and Pete. Pam meets up with Tom and Pete early to plan a joke to play on Jim. Her plans are squashed by them both in favor of an old prank they played on Jim with past girlfriends, poking fun at her occupation. In this case, they belittle Pam’s love for art and her current pursuit of an art degree. Pam is noticeably bothered by this and Jim defends her. In the end, Tom and Pete have their fun and accept Pam into the family.

Back at the office, Dwight mocks Andy by showing up to work in a Cornell University sweatshirt and declaring his intent to apply to Cornell. Dwight continues to infuriate Andy by making conversation about how much he loves Cornell as much as Andy. Andy returns his own shot at Dwight by getting permission from Cornell to conduct Dwight’s admissions interview. They meet in the conference room. Andy seemed to have the upperhand, but Dwight pulled a classic Jim Halpert move by turning the interview around and questioned Andy. The episode ends with Andy showing up to work in overalls, a straw hat, and a bin full of beets. The joke is on Andy when he tries to take a bite out of the beet.

So, I was expecting a lot out of this episode. The opening was great. The cast had Halloween costumes (Dwight, Creed, and Kevin dressed as The Joker; Kelly as Carrie from Sex In the City; Andy as a cast member of Cats; Jim wearing a nametag that reads “Dave”; and Pam the only one dressed in costume at her part-time job at corporate). After the opening, Halloween was over. Holly’s move was kind of flat and abrupt. Just when we see Michael and Holly really clicking, bringing some great humor to the show, they are separated. Jim and Pam’s lunch with his brothers wasn’t that entertaining to me. Dwight vs. Andy was very comical. Dwight saved the show for me. I loved when he put out the bobblehead of Big Read Bear next to his own bobblehead. Meredith saying she got a ride home from a couple guys from Cornell and Creed chiming in that it is pronounced “Kernel” not “Cornell” both further angering Andy was classic. I’m looking forward to next week to bounce back from this episode. I just hope we don’t start seeing crazy Jan Levinson again.
