Blair donned in 1800s old garb stutters her way through old-fashioned dialogue. Serena enters talking perfectly of course. Phew. A dream. An odd dream at that. Blair wakes up annoyed about her life…because it has Serena in it. We learn that Blair is taking a trip to Yale and is going to charm the Dean at his big welcome party he hosts at his house.

Serena is going to be touring Brown even though she got an invitation to Yale. Lily tries to coax her into going. But, she doesn’t want to step into Blair’s territory.
Dan is ALSO attending a tour of Yale. Not all these kids can be this smart, can they? Serena at Yale? That’s like putting a Barbie Doll in a Science lab and asking her to find a cure to cancer. Nate and Chuck are also taking the tour. Chuck is just going because he wants to get into a Skull and Bones type secret society.
At school, Blair tears Serena a new one and says she’s not smart enough to get into Yale. Serena takes this as a challenge and skips the Brown tour and heads to Yale.
Dan has his interview with the Dean and it isn’t going well. The Dean comments that Dan only has one reference and he needs two more. This referencing the two authors Dan interned for who wouldn’t acknowledge the guy actually worked for them. Haha. Kids this is why internships are everything!
Chuck is relaxing on the Yale lawn waiting for the Skull and Bones crew to come to him. Nate sees a student he likes and heads in her direction. At that moment a bag is placed over Chuck’s head. Nate begins talking to his new student friend. Serena exits the Dean’s office to a surprised Blair. Oh no. Chuck is being put to the test with his future fraternity brothers. He suggests they throw a party. What else?
Blair is having her interview and not doing as well as she would like. She’s nervous because of Serena. I hate her. Serena has been invited to a small private party hosted by the Dean. Blair hurt confronts Serena who doesn’t let up. Serena is planning to take Blair down.
Jenny is showing her Dad that dropping out of high school was the right call by giving him a sense what she does.
Nate is making out with his new friend on her bed. She asks him what he thinks of authors he’s never heard of. He mumbles nonsense. Nate is stupid. Dan comes to this girl’s room to get a recommendation because she’s connected. She kicks out Nate when she learns he wasn’t who he said he was. He said he was Dan.
Blair blackmails the secretary to get a spot in the Dean’s party. Oh it’s on Serena! Blair, you take her down!!
Welcome to the Gossip-Girl-Always-Has-A-Party Party. Serena has decided to steal Blair’s answer to the Dean’s question he asks everyone. “Who would you want to meet alive or dead?”
Chuck has been asked to bring Nate to his brothers. Blair and Serena are trying to outdo each other with the alumni and professors. Nate calls Chuck and tells him to meet him at the var. The brothers are out for him. Chuck tells the brothers that Dan is Nate and the brothers take Dan hostage.
It’s Serena’s turn to answer the Dean’s question, but Blair has changed Serena’s answer (written on a card) to someone else. We learn that name Blair has changed the name to was the man Serena helped killed with drugs. Blair is my idol. All hail Blair!
At this second, Serena drags Blair outside to talk. But, it wouldn’t be Gossip Girl if they “just talked.” Serena and Blair have another go around and literally have a fight (full of hair pulls and hitting each other with purses) on the porch of the Dean’s house.
Nate sits alone at the Bar. The brothers enter the same bar commenting how they took care of “Nate Archibald” by tying him to some statue. Nate gets angry and punches them all out. Nate finds Dan and tries to untie him. Nate’s makeout friend finds Nate and Dan and helps them out. Serena says she is sick of the fighting and thinks that she and Blair should just split for good since in college they will just drift away naturally.
The next day, Serena and Blair apologize to each other. It’s sappy. They don’t want to “not know each other.” Serena really just needs to go away in my opinion. Is anyone with me? Nate’s makeout friend agrees to get someone to give Dan a recommendation. All in well.
The brothers find out what Chuck did to dupe them. They tell him that next year they will make Chuck’s life a living hell. But, this being Chuck, he had a plan all along. He had the girls at his party spy on the brothers and get incriminating pictures of them. He tells them “Chuck Bass will own them” next year. That’s right!!! Chuck owns all.
The Dean calls Serena and tells her that he’s giving her an early acceptance. Blair will have to wait to apply like everyone else.
Chuck watches as Dan and Nate walk off together officially BFF’s 4 EVA. Blair observes the campus and seems to realize this dream might not come true after all. I still hate Serena. Barbie will go down.
The fight between Serena and Blair in this episode was hilarious. I kept expecting the dean to come outside to see what was going on. I actually like both Serena and Blair, but I'm glad they're no longer fighting--cat fight aside.
