WHAT AN EPISODE! I laughed, I actually cried, and I ended up wanting to watch it again right after! I cannot wait to hear what you all thought about it, but first-let’s see what actually happened this week!
• Susan: She and Mike go to MJ’s parent’s night at his school where he has drawn a picture of his family. Mike is drawn quite small compared to Jackson which gets him very jealous. He then buys MJ a bike and promises that he next time he’s in town; he’ll help teach him to ride. Not knowing this, Jackson accidently teaches him. Susan tells MJ to fall down to make Mike happier, and he ends up spraining his arm. Once Mike finds out that Susan told him to fall, they have a fight, but it ends up with them realizing that Mike is simply just jealous for not being closer to MJ. He ends up renting the old Young house, which I’ll explain more in Edie’s section.
• Lynette: She realizes how much she misses the ad game when Bree’s publicity starts up. She tries to change her ads and spends forever coming up with a campaign. She pitches it to Bree who declines it. Lynette then attends Bree’s ceremony (explained in Bree’s section). She sees Stu, her old assistant from the job she held in season 2, and he’s running Bree’s campaign. Lynette then gets wasted and causes a scene at the hall. Her storyline ends with a heartwarming conversation between her and Bree where they both realize that their friendship can make it through any hard times.
• Bree: Most of her storyline mixes with Lynette’s but what I didn’t mention is that she is receiving the award of Business Woman of the Year. Meanwhile, Orson has been fired from his job because he didn’t disclose his criminal past. He then wants to go into business with Bree who is forced by Katherine to say no. Orson moves out of the master bedroom until Bree decides to hire him. The happiness between her and Orson is heartwarming at the end.
• Gabby: She is determined to get Juanita a play date once a week so her and Carlos can have sex. In the middle of the play date, Juanita is brought home and stands in the room while her parents are having blind sex. They try to pass it off as wrestling but seem to confuse her into believing that daddy is beating up mommy. They then decide to be honest with her which ends up being a mistake because she ends up talking all about it at her play date. It was very funny and I definitely want to watch that storyline again.
• Edie: Again, this is more about Dave…but he’s starting to rage on different things. He’s getting upset with Tom and the band for reasons that don’t make sense. He also yelled at Edie when she wanted to go back into the landlord business. In the end, he gives in to her wanting to be a landlord, but only for selfish reasons. He wants Mike in the band with him and Tom. Mike lives too far away and cannot afford anything on the Lane. Dave and Edie buy the Young house, and rent it to Mike for almost nothing, but they will not tell Mike that they are his landlords. Dave is definitely up to something, and I cannot wait to find out what.
• Katherine: She didn’t get a storyline this week. What’s happening with that???
