As the final season moves forward, Vic Mackey continues to lose control of the gang war, and his habit of underestimating the women in his life may be a fatal flaw for both him and Aceveda. Last week closed on a powerful note with a simple look between Vic and Ronnie; the finale this week between Vic and Aceveda is no less impressive.

As the city’s Armenian contingent gather for Remembrance Day (to honor the victims of genocide by the Turks), Rezian’s safe house is burned to the ground, with two of his men inside. Rezian announces to Vic that he wants a sit-down with the Mexicans to end the gang war. Vic urges him to be more confrontational, but Rezian will not back down. Vic agrees, but counts it as favor number two of the three favors he promised to Rezian. Vic meets with Pezcuela, who agrees to the meeting, but sends Armando Rios I his place. Both sides expect the other to have Pezcuela’s box of blackmail.
Olivia Murray arrives at the Barn, at Mackey’s request. They have asked Julien to look into Rios, but he has found nothing, and Vic hopes that Olivia’s contacts will pay off. That fails, and Vic gets summoned by Rezian, who announces that he has the box Pezcuela is looking for, but he will not tell Vic exactly what he is talking about. The meeting takes place with Vic as arbiter. Rezian announces to Rios that he does not have the info they are looking for, but will forgive the attack on the safe house if the two sides can join together to find who took the box.
Needing an Armenian “domino to fall”, Vic goes to Acveda for the blackmail box. Aceveda gives up the city’s Comptroller, Robert Martin, who was targeted for insider trading. Mackey and Ronnie press him to allow an Armenian monument he has been blocking. He agrees to announce the plans during the Remembrance Day celebration. Pezcuela’s men are looking for revenge, but it’s Martin who takes the bullet, not Rezian. In the aftermath, Aceveda confronts Vic as two men are brough in for the safe house fire. Shane meets with Rezian, who tells him that finding the blackmail box will be his last favor.
Claudette calls Dutch about a shooting. She is working the field with Tina, and Dutch worries that she may be doing it to prove that she isn’t affected by her lupus. Dutch and Billings question Lloyd, the teenager who shot his classmate, Luis. According to his drug partner Diego, Luis expected to find $ 1,000.00 in Lloyd’s apartment. While profiling Lloyd, Dutch begins to think that he may have lured Luis into a trap, and might be a serial killer in the making. Billings begins to show some begrudging respect for Dutch, even though Lloyd goes free.
Cassie accepts Vic’s apology for attacking her while defending Corinne, but she will not apologize for her failure in watching Matthew. She throws Vic’s misdeeds in his face and walks out. She shows up at Danny’s and meets Vic’s illegitimate child. She tells Danny about the online research she has done on Vic, even mentioning Terry Crowley. She wants to know who Vic really is. Danny calls Corinne to pick her up, but the encounter leaves enough of an impression for Danny to have her lawyer officially ask Vic to waive rights to their son.
In the closing moments, Vic meets Aceveda one last time. He has gone through the blackmail box and found a surprising file: Agent Olivia Murray.
Aceveda: “How much have you told her?”
Mackey: “Enough to get us both killed.”
No idea how this saga will end, but don’t expect seven seconds of a black screen.
