For an episode that was built up to have much craziness, it was actually lacking in it. Nathan went to go see about the Big Basketball gig and got his hopes crushed. Brooke spent some time in therapy to realize she values success in personal relationships more than success in her career. Haley got a call from Dan’s hospice nurse letting her know that he only had a few hours left. Did I mention the hospice nurse is Crazy Carrie?

The saga of Dan and Crazy Carrie reaches a rather anti-climatic end. Carrie tricks Haley into coming to see a dying Dan and she brings Jamie along. Carrie hits our dear heroine over the head and takes off into the cornfield after a terrified Jamie. Haley, who has recovered thanks to Dan telling her to wake up and the magic of TV, finds Jamie first. Nathan picks a bad moment to return Haley’s call and Carrie chases them out of the cornfield. Deb, who gets the Tree Hill Genius of the Year award for figuring it out, hits Carrie in the face with a bottle. Oh but Carrie’s fine and comes at them with an ax. Dan shoots her. Yeah, he’s doing okay too. Carrie has a ridiculous psycho moment when she rises from the ground, laughing and telling Dan he can’t kill her. Oh, I assure you he can and he does, in a hospital gown, no less. He’s good at that.
Nathan gets his heart broken when he finds out the Big Basketball gig is coaching, not playing. He sits in the stadium for awhile, thinking about the offer. When he does hit the court, he shoots one basket beautifully and the lights are turned out on him.
Peyton realizes mysterious man, Mick Wolf is her father and invites him to dinner at her house. He doesn’t show. Instead, he and his one year sober chip are drinking at the bar. I guess she didn’t remember that everyone always leaves.
Lucas and Lindsay reunite to discuss plans for his book tour. Unfortunately, he has to tell her the Chicago date is a no-go since he’s marrying Peyton that day. Lindsay takes it a lot better than most people would, saying she was always rooting for the two people in his book.
Millicent returns to join Brooke in whatever new venture she may find. Mouth is M.I.A. Samantha softens a bit and pays for Brooke’s diner food before going back to sleep in a car.
It was a bit tame for an episode of One Tree Hill, especially one with the impending kidnapping of Jamie. What did you think? Leave your TwoCents in the comments!
