A party. Yes, what else would start Gossip Girl? It’s fashion week, where we see lots of pretty people at parties and lots of pretty models walking down lots of pretty runways. We are at Eleanor Waldorf’s studio where she’s getting her models ready for her own show. Blair has been given the lucrative task of seating “who’s who” at her mother’s show. Blair loves all this power. Jenny and Dan talk about how invisible each other are at school now. Boo-hoo. Get over yourselves; life is much harder than this Gossip Girl backstabbing world. Dan asks Jenny why she isn’t in her French class and she lies and says her sub is always late. But, as you remember little J has been ditching school and heading over to help Eleanor Waldorf.

Blair and Chuck talk. Chuck asks Blair if she needs help getting her Popular Throne back. She says no and gives him sass! I love sass. Dan goes to see Chuck. A professor had told Dan prior to get out of his writing comfort zone and experience something new. So this apparently means Dan needs to see Chuck. He asks Mr. Bass if he could hang with him for the night to see the world of Chuck. Chuck agrees only because he’s bored. Best line of the show!

Blair goes off the deep end when she sees her newly arranged fashion chart. Her maid lets her know that Jenny was the one who fixed it to put Serena in the front row. B is ANGRY! She runs into Jenny and let’s her know the war is back on!
Dan and Chuck go to a bar and drink. Dan is hardly impressed. He doesn’t want to drink shots with Chuck. But, Chuck says that either Dan has to drink them all or leave. Wanting a weird story about Chuck I suppose, Dan downs them.

Back in Brooklyn, Blair pays a visit to Rufus to inform him that his little J hasn’t been to school in ten days. Back in drunk world, we see Dan and Chuck ride around town in a limo. Chuck gets bored with Dan and makes him get out of the limo without shoes.

Rufus finds Jenny and lets her have it. Jenny is such an idiot. Dropping out of school is so like totally cool! Blair and Serena have a girl-screaming match about how friendships have been torn lately. Serena huffs off. Bleck. Kick her butt Blair!

Dan gives his Chuck story to his teacher who doesn’t like it. He wants Dan to write from Chuck’s point-of-view. This will be the best story EVER! Eleanor’s show is about to begin. Blair has taken it upon herself to move Serena’s front row seat to the back. This is the worse thing she could possibly have done according to her mother. Blair is overruled.

Chuck calls his father to see if he wants to get together for a drink. His father blows him off and we see Chuck hurt. Dan overhears all of this. At the end of the call Dan sits down and asks Chuck if last night was the best he could do. Dan asks Chuck about his childhood and CB closes down. Chuck gets up and goes over to a girl at the bar. He basically calls her a hooker. Her boyfriend enters the picture and isn’t the happiest guy in the world. As he goes over to punch Chuck, Dan steps in and knocks the guy out.

Rufus comes home to find an empty house. He is pretty darn ticked off! I think everyone in this episode is angry with someone else. Sheesh. He sees an advertisement for Fashion Week and goes to claim Jenny. Jenny panics when she can’t find the models to Ms. Waldorf’s show. She asks Blair where they ended up and B gives her the story. They went home. Oops Blair told them they were overbooked so they took off. Jenny is going to be in troooouubble! But, Jenny gets an idea as she looks over to Serena’s crew sitting in the front row.

Dan is in jail. He’s a bit shocked on how this could happen TO HIM. You punched out a guy, dude.

Wow. Seriously wow. We learn something important and not superficial about Chuck. The reason his father hates him so much was the fact that Chuck’s mother died while giving birth to him. Poor Chuck. Chuck is released from prison and will help Dan get out. They come to a truce.

Eleanor is flipping out about the lost models, but her assistant Laurel helps her understand that having Serena’s crew model the clothes instead will be a much more powerful message to the press.

The girls put on a show. Blair even hands Serena the finale dress that’s suppose to impress everyone. But, wait, there’s a Blair catch! Blair ends up handing Serena a design by Jenny. Eleanor isn’t so happy! I loves it all so so so so very much! Later, Jenny sees that Blair is deeply unhappy and reassures her despite everything she’s always going to be the Queen.

Back in jail, Chuck is handed Dan’s bag by mistake. He opens up Dan’s stuff to find the notes Dan has written about him. Chuck ends up leaving Dan is jail for lying to him. Eleanor is convinced into taking credit for Jenny’s idea thanks for Blair. It seems that Jenny and Blair have drawn up their own set of truces.

Dan ends up calling his professor to bail him out of jail. Dan decides maybe it’s not the right thing to write about Chuck. The professor tells him that good writers really go for the story. Dan says no and the professor calls him second rate.

Eleanor praises Jenny for all her hard work. In a montage ending, Serena tells Blair, that B is no longer going to hold her back. Jenny tells her father she’s not going back to school. Jenny admires her “I dropped out of 10th grade and all I got was this awesome dress” attitude. Dan is obviously writing about Chuck. Blair observes Serena as photographers take her picture.

Not to sound too Gossip Girl here, but OMG is it me or is Serena becoming the most annoying character ever?
